[Hiring] Benefits Finance Specialist @Velocity Global, LLC

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Benefits Finance Specialist to add to our Global Benefits Operations team. This full-time, fully remote position is responsible for executing aspects of our global benefits initiatives at tactical and strategic levels. This role requires a high level of flexibility and attention to detail. The successful candidate is particularly ambitious with proven experience managing data, administration, and internal stakeholder relationships. This individual will support the scaling of our global benefits offerings via hands-on involvement with invoicing, audits, data hierarchy, and other operational initiatives.

This role calls for someone who is truly 'high velocity' where wearing multiple hats is key to success and is well-suited for the particularly ambitious person who loves navigating challenges and is attracted to or experienced in working at a startup. The right candidate has a relentless zeal to contribute and should have a passion for all things international. The successful candidate will work closely with all sides of the organization and participate in related projects as needed. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Benefits Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and improve upon benefits data management processes and systems, including facilitating cost booking, customer invoicing, vendor billing, audits, and system data hierarchy and integrity
• Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to socialize and manage changes in benefits offerings and processes
• Coordinate regularly with benefits service providers, outsourced vendors, and brokers on a global basis to support billing and other data transfers, especially in support of benefits renewals and implementations
• Collaborate with client and employee-facing teams, as well as the Internal People team, to execute benefits reconciliations and other data-related projects
• Identify and resolve operational process gaps associated with new and existing benefits offerings
• Act as a primary point of contact for escalated client invoicing concerns related to Benefits
• Partner closely with the Benefits Network Manager and other internal stakeholders to increase efficiencies and ensure the success of benefits products
• Streamline implementation workflows and help to ensure successful benefits product launches 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits, operations, and/or finance
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets ability
  • Proven track record of successfully developing, documenting, and optimizing processes surrounding data and systems with material financial outcomes
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative through individual research and drive
  • Ability to work across different departments to achieve results beneficial to the larger team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including strong execution, and timely and thorough follow-through and follow-up of tasks
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion, sound judgment, and diplomacy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, show adaptability and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Technology literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and benefits-specific software
  • Driven; a team player who brings his/her whole self to the role
