Required Skills and Experiences

  • React Native and/or Ionic platform experience.

  • Knowledge of iOS and Android development.

  • Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript (jQuery).

  • Knowledge of API development and backend frameworks.

Pluses

  • Native iOS and Android application development experience.

  • Live applications in both Apple and Google app stores.

    • Willingness to buck trends and learn new ways to build software

    • Passion for developing scalable, well-designed software that improves people’s lives globally

    • Experience building at least one amazing Android app with a team from start to shipment

    Ideal Candidates Will Have:

    • 3+ years of professional software development experience
    • Proficiency in Java and Kotlin
    • Deep technical knowledge of the Android SDK
    • Comfortable building and/or consuming REST APIs- Experience with ReactiveX
    • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
    • A passion for improving the world through education

    TalkJS is currently focused on the web and that's just not good enough. Easy to use APIs and SDKs are the key to our success on the web, and we're looking to do this natively on mobile as well. We need your help for that.

    We're looking for an experienced iOS developer wants to help a fast growing startup go properly mobile. Our ideal candidate:

    • has broad technical interests

    • likes to design great APIs for other programmers

    • has demonstrable experience with iOS and Swift

    • likes to work together with the team to make our product better across the board

    • Bonus points if you know 1+ more platform/language besides iOS.
