We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. We're building a first-of-its-kind primary care provider that helps deliver equitable health care for people of color via cross platform mobile and web applications. Our stack is a React web application driven by a Django web application and APIs and powered by the best in class Postgres database. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves building world changing experiences driven by cutting edge technology and is excited by writing elegant, testable and highly scalable code. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.

 

Responsibilities
  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Write high quality Python and React code using pragmatic development styles and best practices from the community.
  • Implement features and resolve technical issues on a day-to-day basis
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Write technical documentation
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python and Django
  • 2-3 years of React or React Native experience
  • 3+ years of experience integrating with RESTful APIs
  • 2-3 years of Postgres, MySQL or comparable RDBMS experience
  • Must be passionate about writing tests for code and have experience writing testable code
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with common stacks
  • Experience developing desktop and mobile applications

 

 
Nice To Haves
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliant infrastructures and application
  • 2-3 years of experience working with Redux or other store mechanisms in a mobile application
  • Experience working with AWS and Terraform
  • Experience working with SOAP APIs
  • Experience with FHIR integrations
  • Experience working electronic health records systems (EHRs)
  • A strong understanding of iTunes Connect and Google Play Store workflows
  • Comfort working in remote, distributed teams
  • Experience with Amazon Chime or other video conferencing integrations
  • Experience with Twilio Chat API or other live chat integrations
