About Mux

Mux is building the future of online video infrastructure. We’ve built a platform of API products that developers love, including Mux Video, an API to instant video streaming, and Mux Data, a performance analytics platform to help developers operate video at scale.

We're a growing startup with a proven track record of building great products, and we've assembled the best team in video technology from many of your favorite streaming services. We were named one of the best Y Combinator startups of 2016, and we’re backed by top-tier investors like Accel, Y Combinator, and Evolution. Our customers include Vimeo, Robinhood, CBS, Discovery, PBS, and TED.

About the Role

As a Developer Experience Engineer, you'll inspire developers to build cool things with video, build cool stuff yourself, and help developers use (and hopefully love!) Mux and our platform.

What You'll Do
  • Become a trusted voice in the world of video by helping developers build better video (using Mux along the way).
  • Speak and write for a developer audience, submit talks, write blog posts, and represent Mux at conferences.
  • Help create a seamless onboarding experience for developers. Our goal is that API questions are never asked more than twice due to great API design, guides, documentation, and examples.
  • Contribute code to a rich ecosystem of plugins, SDKs, and open-source projects built around or on top of Mux.

Who You Are

  • You like helping people!
  • 2+ years of engineering experience and experience with multiple programming languages.
  • Experience speaking and writing for a developer audience.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Bonus: Experience running (or helping run) a community.
