Android Intern - Prairy

Hiring from: USA Only

Category: Software Development

Prairy is a Reddit meets Nextdoor app where people can share jokes, news, projects, and ideas with their city. It’s a democratized platform, so content gets prioritized over following. People who want to share can reach a local audience immediately and people who want to see what’s happening won't have to worry about following the right people.

The last five months quarantining here in Chicago showed us people need to stay connected with their cities. This need is what prompted us to create Prairy and what's getting us attention.

We’re looking for Android intern who can work alongside our design and engineering team to help us transition from alpha to beta and begin letting in more users.

  • Proficiency with developing for Android devices.
  • Proficiency with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services.
  • Knowledge of Git.

Nice to have:

  • Eye for design.
  • Good at learning unfamiliar technology.
  • Midwest based.

  • Part-time 10-15 hours/week.
  • Remote.

  • $15/hour

Before you apply, please check if any restrictions apply in terms of time zone or country.

This job has a geo-restriction in place: USA Only.
