The Senior Application Support Analyst provides expert level 3 & 4 “help desk” process and application support services for SAP Business Object Administration (BO3.x, BO 4.1x, BO 4.2x, BO4.3). Candidate should be well versed in BO architecture, have strong development skills, with experience in implementing Business Objects in Cloud and on-premise and their related interfaces. Experience with Business 360 Suites Technical Administration such as configuration, optimization, backup management, usage analysis, content management etc. is important. Though the position is based in the US region, candidate will be working on issue irrespective of the location of the client.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • More than 15 years of experience, minimum of 8 years of software experience
  • Strong Experience in Business Objects Administration (Versions BO3.x, BO 4.1x, BO 4.2x, BO4.3).
  • Management or Administration Studies is a plus
  • Preferred: Experience in installing and configuring SAP Business Objects enterprise products, data modeling, creating new data structures and universes, developing ad hoc reports.
  • Excellent command on the architecture and custom BO integrations.
  • Excellent experience in Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius dashboards and BO Universes.
  • Experience in SAP Data Services, SAP Design Studio, and SAP Lumira is a plus
  • Hands on experience in Security Management and Content Management in BO
  • Should be able to develop Java scripts needed for BO functionality enhancement and develop automated processes and strong SQL knowledge and experience in writing SQL scripts is a must have.
  • Experience in SAP BO support in Windows Server environment with Apache Tomcat and SSO.
  • Monitor system performance, identify and resolve performance issues tuning the BO system
  • Experience in implementing Business Objects in cloud and on-premise, including sizing, clustering, development strategy, migration/promotion strategy

 

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact of Business Object in the US region.
  • Responsible for installing, upgrading, migrating, implementing patches, configuration and maintenance of Business Object, including maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Provide server administration, BOBJ platform, data services ETL, tomcat web servers, crystal report, Xcelsius dashboards, Web Intelligence, active directory SSO
  • Monitor system performance
  • Monitoring Data Base Services
  • Provide expert technical knowledge in the day to day area of BO administration tasks including creating folders/reports/users and migrating reports/folders/users from Dev to QA to Production
  • Manage your own customers in other area of administration, with customer satisfaction being your main goal.
  • Able to work with cross functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Assists BO developers to resolve client’s support technical issues and application support for BO
  • Resolve Business Objects Software related issues
  • Track issues and meet SLA requirements
  • Drive customer satisfaction by tracking issues from start to closure, minimizing aging cases.
