Job Summary

We’re looking for an experienced product manager to join the team at Theorem. It is expected that you have lived the full product lifecycle, having brought multiple products to market.

In this role, you will lead teams of 1-2 designers and 2-3 engineers and work directly with customers to build complex custom software applications. 

Responsibilities and Duties

As a product manager, you are responsible for overall product guidance, vision, prioritization, planning, and stakeholder communication. You’ve got to be a quick study and become a domain expert in the areas required for your products: You need to know the business opportunities, competitors, customer pain points and technical details about each product. The Product Manager is also a guide. Clients look to you to chart out the approach that will get them results within their time and budget. 

You will work closely with our designers who actually do the design & wireframing but you should be able to roll up your sleeves to create and make changes to wireframes yourself.

  • Strategy: Collecting research, running project kickoffs, and defining business goals 

  • Consulting: Guiding clients and project teams through the right steps to get a world-class product 

  • Design: Converting ideas and goals into wireframes with a UX/UI designer, often developing the first set of sketches yourself or collaboratively 

  • Engineering: Overseeing the delivery of each project milestone by managing/collaborating with the project team

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Thorough research and effective customer discovery, develop clear insights into our users and target markets in order to develop product solutions that align with business objectives

    • Define and manage product roadmap; consistently and ruthlessly refine in order to prioritize the most important features

    • Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders and lead a group of engineers and designers to bring quality products to our customers as quickly as possible

    • Use a variety of tools to scope products, produce wireframes and mockups gather feedback and deliver high-quality software

    • Establish clear release timelines and product feedback loops

    • Define quantitative and qualitative success metrics and consistently evaluate whether your solutions have solved the problem through these measures, both before and after releases

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 5+ years experience working in a cross-functional product design or product management role in a start-up environment, particularly one focused on B2B software applications; enterprise software or design-related software a plus.

    • Humble and eager to learn from customers, but equally ambitious and bold with ideas

    • Expertise communicating and building trust with diverse audiences (business stakeholders, designers, developers)

    • Fluent in web usability standards, information hierarchy and layout best practices

    • Command of various product development frameworks and rapid prototyping solutions

    • Comfort balancing qualitative and quantitative data to guide and validate product choices

    • Familiarity with React JS, CSS

    • Experience working in a distributed, sometimes asynchronous, environment

    We are a US-based fully distributed Organization looking for a London-area Senior Product Manager to join the Theorem global team. The first project for the person in this new role will be assigned to is based in Chiswick, London. There is an expectation that this PM will be on-site with the client for the majority of their working time, but remote work will be possible for an agreed upon portion. After this project completes, it is likely that the majority of future work will be primarily remote besides the occasional on-site visit.

    Job Description

    • Design and conduct experiments to drive KPIs around partner experience/renewal, internal user efficiency, and more

    • Review academic literature and work with leading behavioral psychology researchers to translate hypotheses into experiments, and experiments into new insights about what helps students succeed

    • Interview users and synthesize findings

    • Work directly with a team of 2-4 engineers to ideate, validate, ship, assess and iterate on features

    • Communicate with stakeholders across the company, from the cofounders to the sales team, to ensure that your learnings about our users inform everything we do

    About You

    • Strong work ethic and organizational skills

    • 3-7 years of experience working in a product role

    • Experience in a small, rapidly-growing team

    Bonus points if you have experience with:

    • Working at a startup

    • Building B2B products or designing experiences for users in higher education, or for customer success teams

    • UX design

    • Data science

    • Content creation
