You will be joining our Inbound Sales team as 1 of 2 Product Specialists, where you will join us on our journey from 1 million users to 10 million users!
Mote has developed a product that educators from around the world love to use. We make their lives easier by offering a product that enables teachers to give faster and friendlier feedback with voice notes. In less than a year, our user base has grown tremendously thanks to the viral nature of our product. To date, we’ve handled our high volume of inbound sales with our small team, but we are seeking a Product Specialist to take us to the next level in systematizing our approach, refining our sales playbook, maximizing upsell, and exceeding our goals. We’ve got a lot of things right in our approach as a company thus far, but we are always seeking ways to elevate ourselves to the next level. We want you to help us get there.
As the Product Specialist, you will own all inbound sales activity from qualified leads, through closing, to handing off to Customer Success. You will be reporting to the VP of Customer Success, and will work closely with members of Outbound Sales, Customer Success, Education, along with the rest of our small global team.
As an early member of our team, it is essential that you find the sweet spot between strategy (identifying qualified leads through our database; refining the sales process) and action (picking up the phone and making calls to doing your due diligence and following up). You will have a team to work with, but it’s imperative that you have a pro-active go-getter mindset.
You have at least 2-4 years experience with Inbound Sales at a fast-growth ed tech or SaaS company. You’re looking to work as an early member of a company where you’ll enjoy more autonomy, more potential for impact, and a chance to make a difference in the lives of educators and students everywhere.
You are a committed ‘remotie’, happy to trade-off the camaraderie, distractions, and presenteeism of office life for complete flexibility on location.
You are an excellent self-monitor - able to critique your own work, and to genuinely appreciate constructive feedback from others.
You have a growth mindset, and you’re comfortable thinking about and discussing your progress in relation to a lifelong learning journey.
You are an expert at building instant rapport with our school partners with an outstanding ability to communicate over email, voice, and video.
You know how and when to push back firmly and politely on feedback from colleagues including the founders, but you try your best to bring the team along with you by explaining your thinking.
You are a CRM expert that obsesses over maintaining the deal tracker as the source of truth and you know to maximize its use. We currently use Hubspot as our CRM.
You have a curiosity that is grounded in your working experience. You’re always trying to figure out what message resonates most with our school partners. We use customer.io to send automated messages, and you will leverage tools like this to constantly improve your open, click, and conversion rates.
You are inherently goal-oriented with a disciplined approach to nurturing qualified leads and move them towards conversion.
