FormAssembly is growing fast and we are excited to add a Product Owner to help scale our products to the next phase of our growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand business needs at a tactical and a strategic level and then translate those needs into a deep, prioritized and groomed backlog.
  • Define, prioritize and clarify requirements and enhancements and capture them in the form of user stories.
  • Ensure the product backlog is constantly prioritized so our teams deliver maximum business value to our customers.
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and create actionable epics and/or features.
  • Be the primary product specialist for the engineering team and serve as the key stakeholder of product decisions during planning, grooming and development.
  • Work with Scrum Master to run successful sprint planning and release planning sessions, as well as sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Provide flawless communications and coordination between the product organization, engineering and relevant business partners.
  • Responsible for working with internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, etc.) to ensure release readiness across the organization.
  • Experience with sprints containing new development alongside bug fixes and understanding when to make tradeoffs between planned work and unplanned work.
  • Comfortable interacting with end users, as well as executive management at any given moment.
  • Continuously improve product delivery.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
  • 2+ years experience in quality assurance, business/product analysis, project management, user experience or similar.
  • Highly organized with superb documenting skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously, prioritize conflicting demands and set expectations accordingly.
  • Experience at a SaaS company with enterprise products.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com.
  • Experience working in a remote team.
  • Excellent collaborator, negotiator, time manager and verbal/written communicator.

    What you’ll do:

    • Confidently collaborate with clients and internal team members to build products from existing ideas and create and pitch new ideas based on data, customer feedback, and industry experience. 

    • Lead an iterative product development approach that includes creative and technical members, focusing on delivering value regularly through considered and deliberate prioritization. 

    • Create and maintain product roadmaps, feature backlogs and product documentation, and user stories.

    • Take an active role in the sales cycle for new clients and participate in the creation of proposals in response to RFPs/RFIs.

    • Participate in team and company retrospectives to help define and refine working agreements and processes to help us work more effectively together as a team. 

    • Expand relationships with existing customers


    What you’ll bring:

    • A proven track record of leading the delivery of digital products and services that delight customers.

    • 3+ years of similar experience in a digital agency, consultancy, or equivalent setting where you were accountable to several client engagements.

    • A unique blend of business and technical savviness, a big-picture vision, and the drive to work with others to make that vision a reality through your persuasive written and verbal communication skills.

      Experience with large-scale open source web technologies (such as Drupal, WordPress, and React). 

    • Experience and/or a desire to work remotely.

    • The ability to travel for conferences, client visits, or workshops, ~10% travel.

    • Ability to work efficiently, sometimes under tight deadlines


    It’d be nice if you also had: 

    • Experience building products and services for all users, regardless of ability, backed by knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508 Refresh/WCAG 2.0 A and AA). 

    • Familiarity with other popular web development technologies, third party applications and platforms.

    • Experience or an interest in sharing your knowledge and experience at industry conferences 

    • Familiarity with Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence.

    Skills & Requirements

    The position requires proven work experience in product management with a technical background and understanding of (perhaps even hands-on experience) software development and web technologies.

    The Product Owner will work within multidisciplinary Scrum teams, so strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up one’s sleeves will go a long way.  The ability to research, reason and communicate recommendations to clients and executive management is crucial.

    Specific requirements include the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree favored, preferably in Business, Computer Science and/or Engineering

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Agile-driven software development

    • 5+ years in a professional work environment analyzing business problems, collaborating and leading teams preferred

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are pretty darn important, too.

    • An affinity for caffeinated beverages and a strong meme stash won’t hurt your chances.

    About the Team:

    We are hiring for a Lead/Group PM in the Core Zone. The scope of this role will initially include strategic oversight over the Connected Workflow Group, including: Engagement (Home, Notifications, Spaces, Streams), Discoverability (Share, Permissions, Search), and Mobile.

    • You’ll be a champion of InVision’s users, deeply understanding their contexts and workflows to create strategies and drive product priorities
    • You will partner with product marketing to develop narratives that communicate the value of InVision’s products
    • You’ll work together to share the impact of the team’s work with our users and prospects.

    What you’ll bring: 

    • 7+ years as a Product Manager or similar
    • 2+ years as a Sr. or Lead PM with responsibility over 1-2 product managers
    • You’ve played an instrumental role in creating great products that customers love to use
    • History of driving large initiatives to success and demonstrating business outcomes
    • Demonstrated experience driving 0 > 1 products from ideation to successful adoption
    • Track record of Product Leadership, including hiring and managing performance of PMs
    • Ability to create strong relationships with cross-functional partners and to communicate and influence clearly and effectively to achieve team goals
    • Experience with SaaS strongly preferred
