DemandLab, a technology-focused marketing consultancy, is seeking an experienced agency marketing leader to join its team.

Are you a marketer with experience in marketing for an agency? DemandLab has a current opening for a Director of Marketing with 5+ years of experience in Marketing agency services and 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing. As the Director of Marketing, you will ensure that our company mission and vision are reflected in our marketing initiatives as you oversee and manage demand generation, thought leadership, positioning, communications, and brand development.

The Director of Marketing will develop a marketing strategy and execution plan based on business objectives. In this role you will manage marketing programs across paid/earned/owned media channels, lead a cross functional team of employees and contractors in executing the marketing plan, manage an annual budget, and deliver analytics and insights to the leadership team. The Director of Marketing will report to the CEO of DemandLab.

Expected Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Annual Plan/Leadership

  • Own the strategic marketing plan
    • Build on existing marketing strategy and programs to increase market position and visibility
    • Bring experience and creativity to the development of integrated demand generation campaigns
    • Develop business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations on marketing tactics
  • Analyze campaign outcomes in detail, drawing insights and presenting results clearly to facilitate sound decision making and next steps
  • Lead a cross functional team to execute programs

Demand Generation

  • Create a demand generation engine. Integrate both traditional lead management and account based marketing
    • Develop an integrated paid and organic programs that significantly increase the marketing database and overall pipeline (e.g., Google PPC, social media, content marketing, webinars, events)
  • Marketing communications: Develop and execute communications initiatives including thought leadership, sales collateral, tradeshows, campaigns, social media presence, company website and corporate events.
  • Social Media: Design and direct brand social media presence

Brand Awareness

  • Brand strategy: Maintain DemandLab’s brand both internally and externally, developing guidelines, style guides, templates, etc. Build upon company corporate narrative initiatives, provide perspective on how to best position our brand within the market.
  • Develop and promote thought leadership. Capitalize upon the expertise of the DemandLab delivery and sales teams to develop and promote thought leadership materials
  • Ensure DemandLab’s company core values and brand guidelines are adhered to and apparent in marketing collateral initiatives
  • Oversee event speaking opportunities and award submission for both DemandLab and its clients
  • Public Relations: Collaborate with external contractor/ vendor to establish, own and drive a strategic internal and external communications strategy that positively affects customers and employees.
  • Direct and manage DemandLab’s employer brand and maintain an active presence on marketing industry focus job boards, social media and other relevant channels

Customer Marketing

  • Design and direct customer engagement campaigns to assist account management
  • Design and oversee and report on account management dashboards
  • Build on existing customer relationship programs that demonstrate DemandLab’s customer-first values

Partner Marketing

  • Engage with DemandLab’s partners to drive engagement and client acquisition across our mutual prospect and customer segments including co-marketing programs, event coordination

Product Marketing

  • Oversee product marketing align closely with services and innovation team members to bring new products and solutions to market. Leverage marketing insights and analytics to suggest and influence product improvements, pricing, product mix, promotions, messaging and value proposition.

Marketing Operations

Direct, manage and continuously improve marketing operations processes and reporting related to marketing tactics and goals

Requirements

Applicants must bring the following to the organization.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing agency services
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing
  • 5+ years Marketo, Eloqua or other relevant marketing automation platform experience
  • 5+ years of Salesforce experience
  • 5+ years relevant marketing data analysis experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in building complex B2B marketing programs and reporting on the results
  • Deep experience with B2B social media, content and digital marketing
  • Competence as a business writer with an eye for great content, emails and landing pages
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking

Qualifications/Skills

  • Demonstrable success in developing, executing, and measuring innovative and results-focused demand programs and campaigns
  • Track record of developing and managing multiple marketing programs simultaneously
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, specifically around program measurement and ROI, and using these insights to grow or improve on marketing programs
  • Proven experience in managing the creation of marketing and sales materials
  • Experience influencing and communicating offerings to customers, prospects
  • Experience working with and supporting sales professionals
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking
  • Familiar with the following software/tools:
    • Wordpress or other CMS
    • Google Analytics or other analytics program
    • Marketing and sales enablement tools

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business or similar
