As Hello Alice’s Director of Engagement Marketing, you’ll be the lucky individual connecting with Hello Alice’s business owners virtually, through our in-app community, social media and digital engagement campaigns. Day-to-day, you’re serving as the voice of the small business owner within Hello Alice, providing feedback to the team and creating new and innovative ways to support entrepreneurs. We’re looking for an online engagement expert who can embrace the Hello Alice brand voice to translate complex business ideas in fun, engaging, and meaningful digital content and communications to strengthen connections with our existing community of small business owners and partners..

This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing. Hello Alice is a fully remote team, so all United States locations are considered.

  • Strategizing on how to best evolve our online communities of 375K SMBs and growing to better engage our owners so that they can benefit from shared knowledge, experiences and support each other
  • Directly implementing engagement campaigns including e-mail, social, in-product and other channels
  • Analyzing data to iterate on engagement strategies
  • Facilitate events, webinars, calls, and forums with the goal of engagement
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to deepen our understanding of the needs of our owners
  • Drive process and product improvement within marketing and cross-functionally
  • Create and implement engagement and editorial calendar
  • Execute partner community deliverables, and help ensure community administrators are staying engaged and active
  • Assist in additional partnership deliverables including social planning, outreach initiatives, and other opportunities to engage with our small business community
  • Engage our network of influencers and partners to highlight expertise
  • Discover and implement opportunities to support small business owners in critical, meaningful ways, such as disaster response, industry centers, demographic-focused initiatives and more
  • Respond in a timely manner to the needs of the community, including collaborating across the team to share learnings from small business owners
  • Collaborate with brand leaders, editorial directors and designers to share visually rich and viral content
  • Collaborate with growth marketing team to consistently review analytics, and ensure consistent improvement across select metrics


Required Skills and Experiences

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing
  • Experience in working with (or for) startups, and a preference for lean, accelerated startup culture
  • Social media planning and executing experience, including a familiarity with scheduling tools and UTMs
  • Adept marketing copywriting and editing skills
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Amplitude, and other data software
  • Advanced email marketing, with a preference for Mailchimp experience
  • Experience and passion for marketing to an audience of business owners and entrepreneurs
  • Exposure and/or direct experience with small business owners, with a deep knowledge of the highs and lows of entrepreneurship
  • Samples of creative marketing copy required
