Job Description

What You’d Do

The WX Designer helps design experiences (interactions + transactions) that meet workforce expectations. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp customer needs and collaborate with others to solve problems and continually improve. You will collaborate with Leapgen Consultants, our Customers and their software providers and implementation partners to help design frictionless experiences throughout the design thinking lifecycle - from getting to know and empathize with members of the workforce to iterating on ideas and recommending changes to processes and/or content to providing input on proofs-of-concepts and prototypes to be tested.

The Day-to-Day Stuff

  • Participate with Leapgen Consultants in customer research (e.g., focus groups, interviews, surveys) to create personas and journey maps based on how our customers’ workforces experience work today

  • Find creative ways to solve UX and knowledge management problems (e.g. usability, findability)

  • Make recommendations on how best to improve experiences (e.g., streamline processes, change the interaction model, modify information architecture) recommend how to evaluate success

  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs [to be enabled via any number of HR and workforce technologies]

  • Build future-state journey maps and process maps

  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers

  • Build out and refine tools & templates with guidance from the company's Services team members

  • Great communicator, fellow Leapers and customers alike. We operate on it!

  • We use both Google apps and Microsoft Office apps; you probably do, too

  • Proficiency developing process flows (e.g., LucidChart, Visio) preferred

About You

Passionate about digital HR and workforce experience design? How about solving customer problems, poring over software architecture constructs or process diagrams, designing solutions, and delivering recommendations for an improved experience? If you like sorting out problems, finding a better way to do things, and watching customers bask in proven results of positive change, we might have found each other.

This Should Describe You

  • Passion for solving customer problems (and proven ability to do so)

  • Interest in HR and digital workforce experience design

  • Some design experience, either customer-facing or internal to an organization

  • HR and/or IT domain knowledge helps

  • Strong portfolio of design projects is a really nice bonus

  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture constructs - this is serious gravy

  • Proficiency in design software and prototyping tools (e.g. InVision, ProtoPie, Adobe XD) would be amazing

  • Bachelor’s Degree ideal

  • Certificate in Design with a focus on UX is also awesome!
