What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, we are looking for an experienced HR Generalist/People Partner to join our People and Places team. You are an experienced HR professional with experience across various areas of the business, particularly in training and development and performance management. You have the ability and thrive by building and implementing programs. 
We are looking to grow our Later team rapidly in the next year so an eye for scalability and growth will be a key to success in this role. You will need to be an expert communicator, highly nimble, and a people-first person!
  • Program and Change Management
  • Provide leadership and insight in the adoption of Later’s performance management system, by facilitating, training, and monitoring both people and process; to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to the business needs
  • Work collaboratively with the People team, and other key stakeholders to assess and develop programs, like Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Compensation, Training and Development, Community Giving, Employer Brand, etc,
  • Research and continually build knowledge of best practices and trends in People & Culture; making related recommendations to improve these programs
  • Coaching and Employee Relations
  • Empower people leaders and their teams by coaching on key areas including performance management, career development, feedback, and talent planning
  • Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and action feedback to Increase employee retention 
  • Develop and execute people-engagement initiatives to foster inclusivity, ensuring all team members across our international team feel valued and included at all times
  • Champion of Culture
  • Be a proactive champion of workplace culture and alignment with Later’s company values by designing and participating in culture-related activities
  • Ensure that all decisions and processes are aligned with Later's culture and core values
  • Training and Development
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups; making recommendations and delivering workshops 
  • Build and develop learning opportunities to leverage internal promotions and growth programs
  • Design and craft career development paths using Later’s Performance Management platform
Skills & Experience
  • Three plus years’ experience in an HR generalist role, ideally within a dynamic, growth-oriented high-tech environment
  • Undergraduate degree in business or a related field, Human Resource preferred 
  • Good working knowledge on Human Resource standards and best practices 
  • Strong working knowledge of B.C’s Employment Standards Act and Health and Safety Act and familiarity with Ontario, and Quebec Employment Standards Act
  • Experience maintaining culture with a remote team
  • Superior communication skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Proficient with different HRIS (like BambooHR) and Lattice, Lever, Slack, and Google Suite 
  • Entrepreneurial by nature, you excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are a given

Salary Range
  • $76,000 - $84,000

Working Locations:
Product and Development roles are based out of our Vancouver headquarters. If you are not located in Vancouver, but interested in relocating for the role let us know!
Whereas, roles on our Marketing and Customer Experience teams are open to remote candidates based out of Toronto and London, UK, in addition to working out of our Vancouver headquarters.
