We are a newly remote team, with a majority of employees based in NYC, and are backed by the same venture capital companies behind Instacart, Warby Parker, Glamsquad, Mirror, Prose, and Allbirds.
As Ollie’s Finance Manager, you will be charged with managing Ollie’s end-to-end financial process. In the short term, you will be supported by external accounting and tax teams, and will be responsible for liaising with them to facilitate the monthly close and compliance processes. In the medium term, you’ll be helping to build the accounting/finance teams and processes internally. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in FP&A with a strong understanding of core accounting principles and has the ability to balance tactical day-to-day operations with the analytical, strategic requirements of the business.
This role will report to the VP of Finance & Strategy. Ollie's team is evolving from a NYC based group to a fully distributed workforce so we welcome applications from across the U.S.
Manage end-to-end operations of the finance team including strategic analysis, budgeting and forecasting, accounting processes, and daily trading requirements
Partner with the executive team on ad hoc financial analysis to aid in decision making
Manage external tax and accounting teams
Manage board and investor reporting requirements
Partner with business partners across the organization to drive efficiencies and identify growth opportunities
Work externally with key partners and cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to build enterprise value
You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
You have 5+ years of experience working in FP&A and/or Accounting, preferably with a mix of public and private experience. Experience in a start-up organization is preferable
You have extensive experience building financial models
You’ve played a key role in budgeting and forecasting, both on the top-line and expense side
You have current working knowledge of US GAAP
You have advanced Excel skills
You are analytical and have strong business acumen
You are organized and disciplined
You work well with internal and external stakeholders
