Pitch, a new company from the makers of Wunderlist, is seeking a Visual Designer to join our team in Berlin. You'll be part of our Marketing Team and be responsible for pushing our creative brand guidelines, and being a brand guardian that takes ownership of the creatives developed across Marketing and with other internal stakeholders.

Who we are looking for

  • You have strong fundamental graphic design skills, including knowledge of typography, composition/layout and colour

  • The digital realm is your home. You focus predominantly on screen and web-based layouts

  • You know how to effectively collaborate with illustrators and content creators

  • You have great attention to detail. You also love to dig deeper in order to question and explore underlying concepts in a visual and collaborative way

  • You can clearly articulate design decisions with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • You have experience with an iterative design process: Incorporating feedback, launching quickly and testing hypotheses

  • You have a good instinct for content and copy and how the two play together in order to achieve great design

  • You are up-to-date with current design technologies and trends

  • You understand and care about the business goals and implications of your designs

  • You have a strong portfolio primarily showcasing examples of graphic design

Bonus would be:

  • Design Agency Background

  • You have solid animation skills (CSS/JS, AE)

  • Experience with end-to-end video creation inc. shooting, editing

What you'll do

  • Designing and building marketing assets across the customer journey (including landing pages, emails, presentations, infographics, educational content, online magazine, videos, templates and more)

  • Collaborating with our product design, illustration and marketing team to bring the brand to life

  • Conceptualising and running A/B tests on your designs to optimise performance (but never at the expense of quality)

  • Being a brand guardian and ensuring visual and tonal consistency

    You are responsible for:

    • Developing and leading core creative strategic initiatives, including:

    • Co-creating creative strategy to elevate global awareness for Wikipedia, increase positive affinity for the Wikimedia brand and identify the resource needs to unify and clarify the look and feel for a global movement.

    • Working in partnership with the global brand team to ensure creative efforts align with the standards, goals and vision of the organization and to define clear performance outcomes and measurable objectives for full portfolio of assets, projects and initiatives

    • Managing creative research processes and translating data into actionable insights to support marketing, advertising, and digital strategies.

    • Finding and building working relationships with new creative and production vendors, as well as strengthening partnerships with current vendors.

    • Managing and leading a team of designers, partners and design agencies to create and develop compelling, brand-aligned art and collateral. Developing cross-platform creative assets to elevate long term perceptions of Wikipedia and the increase trust of readers, contributors, volunteers and donors.

    • Managing and executing key processes and functions to build and accelerate global brand awareness, including:

    • Managing and regularly iterating creative functions of fast-moving marketing projects from inception through completion, oversee execution of creative concepts and programs.

    At Archimedes Digital, you'll partner with professors and researchers internationally to transform the way we publish and share cultural heritage data. You'll design and create industry-leading user interfaces that span traditional 2D web and mobile environments and bridge into 3D environments with Virtual and Augmented Reality experiences.

    • Great all-round designer — your designs are beautiful in form and function 

    • Versatile in your design work, ideally have experience with UX design for at least one 3D platform (i.e. a 3D game or application, preferably in virtual or augmented reality) 

    • Are passionate about a humanities-related field and want to see the what that humanities data is published be radically different in the future 

    • Communicates well with professors and/or researchers 

    • Are self-led but highly aligned with your teammates; we develop fast, and align every 2-3 days
