About Us

We're a platform for the next generation of wellness, focused on the hardest problem -- personalized nutrition. We sell fresh food for Food Tribes (representing 39% of the US population, including whole30, gluten-free, paleo, ketogenic, vegan, and vegetarian).

We're direct-to-consumer e-commerce with differentiated distribution, partnering with leading Fitness Tribes as local pickup spots (including yoga, cycling, and CrossFit studios as well as boutique and high-end health clubs).

We lead with purpose and intention, just like our customers. We're operating in four markets (DC, DFW, SoCal, and the Bay Area). In each, we work with amazing chefs using responsibly-sourced ingredients to create healthy meals that our customers rely on to undergird their health & wellness goals.

At Territory, we believe that our people and culture are our most significant assets. Because of our passion for wellness, community development, and entrepreneurship, we want to have the best team members who not only believe in this mission but live it too. Our remote operating model allows us to have a strong team of cutting-edge thinkers around the USA who provide diverse and innovative ideas.

About the Role

  • Collaborate closely with product, business, data, and engineering partners in an agile environment. Deliver innovative design experiences to our customers at each stage of their journey.

  • Support our product development process with design thinking, sketching, prototyping, testing, learning, polished execution, and iteration.

  • Take an active and involved role in the definition of our product strategy for both new and existing functionality.

  • Make people-centered design decisions informed by data and user research.

  • Partner with engineers to ensure a high level of polish throughout the development cycle.

  • Create and own the visual design process, evolve our style guide, and build our design system to enable efficient, consistent, and scalable product development.

  • Turn challenging workflows into simple, usable, and elegant experiences.

  • Design elegant user interfaces that solve the problems of our customers while balancing the needs of the business.

About You

  • 5+ years in a digitally-focused design role.

  • Experience with Sketch or Figma for UI design and Photoshop / Illustrator (or similar) for brand assets.

  • You work with Scrum/Agile/iterative design process, AB testing, and KPI measurement for UX.

  • You have a track record of building exceptional and engaging user experiences for both apps and the web, ideally for e-commerce brands.

  • You are passionate about design systems and well-versed in data-informed product design and development.

  • You're energized by hands-on work: sketching concepts, defining flows, building prototypes, or polishing final designs.

  • You're always looking to hone your design instinct through user feedback, user research, contextual interviews, and competitive/analogous research.

  • You have the communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional partners.

  • You're unafraid to change your opinion in the face of new information or understanding of the product goals - you have strong beliefs, but open-minded.

  • This Senior Product Designer position for our Secure stage group is 100% remote.

    A brief overview:

GitLab is building an open source, single application for the entire DevOps lifecycle—from project planning and source code management to CI/CD, monitoring, and security.

We started 2019 with a team of 15 Product Designers and Researchers. Right now, we’re in a period of growth, we’re doubling the size of the UX team, and we’re doubling the number of GitLab employees to over 1000 this year, too.

At GitLab, we live and breathe open source principles. This means our entire handbook is online, and with a few clicks, you can find the details of future releases and an overview of the product vision you’d contribute to when working here.

The goal of GitLab’s Secure stage group is to support users in prioritizing, managing, and solving any security issue that may affect their environment or application.

What you can expect in a Senior Product Designer, Secure role at GitLab:

    • You'll help improve the overall experience of our product through research and design.
    • You'll work with Product Managers to define the product goals, roadmap, and strategy for our Secure stage group.
    • You’ll work alongside UX Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers to iterate on new features within the GitLab product.
    • You’ll communicate your design thinking and ideas through wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and hi-fidelity visual designs.
    • You’ll engage with our user base and the wider GitLab community to understand their pain points and work toward long-term fixes that enable them to succeed with their goals.
    • You’ll undertake usability testing to validate your thinking, collaborate with our UX Researchers on generative research, and you’ll share findings with the wider team, ensuring recommendations are communicated effectively across our organization.
    • You’ll contribute to our Design System, alongside the rest of the UX team and the GitLab community as a whole.
    • You’ll shape the processes within our design team and help guide our approach to DesignOps.

Projects you might work on in our Secure stage group:

You’ll join the team at an early stage, collaborating with a cross-functional team, helping to build out static analysis and dynamic analysis features, dashboards, and a UX strategy, for our users in the security and software engineering industry.

    You should apply if:

    • You’ve got at least a few years of experience designing developer tools, enterprise software, or complex web applications.
    • You’re experienced working at a senior level within a product design team
    • You’ll bring a deep level of enterprise security knowledge to the team
    • You're driven to design a world-class product for the security industry
    • You enjoy getting involved in research and usability testing, and you continually look to improve your user research abilities.
    • You want to design for a complex product with technical users who have continually evolving needs.
    • You’ve got a portfolio of work that shows us your product design skills across user research, UX strategy, wireframing, prototyping, product strategy, and visual design.
    • The idea of playing a key part in the evolution of our Pajamas Design System is truly exciting to you.
    • You’re comfortable with frontend code. You can demonstrate this through your hands-on coding skills with HTML/CSS/JS, or by showing us you have a deep understanding of the needs of engineers you’ve worked with previously.
    • Our values of collaboration, results, efficiency, diversity, iteration, and transparency resonate with you.

What it’s like to work here at GitLab:

The culture here at GitLab is something we’re incredibly proud of. Because GitLabbers are currently located in 51 different countries, you’ll spend your time collaborating with kind, talented, and motivated colleagues from across the globe.

Some of the benefits you’ll be entitled to vary by the region or country you’re in. However, all GitLabbers are fully remote and receive a "no ask, must tell" paid-time-off policy, where we don’t count the number of days you take off annually. You can work incredibly flexible hours, enabled by our asynchronous approach to communication. Also, every year or so, we’ll invite you to our Contribute event.

Our hiring process for this Senior Product Designer position typically follows five stages. The details of this process, and the compensation for this role can be found at the bottom of our job family page.

  • Input Logic (Canada)

We're on the hunt for a Product Designer who can take ideas from wireframes to finished mobile and desktop app designs. As a Product Designer, you'll work alongside a UX Designer and a Product Manager, to turn user stories into lovely visual interfaces. Your main jam is interface design, but you love to make icons, branding concepts, and do some illustrations too.

Your tool du jour is Sketch, but maybe you're also playing with Figma, and you likely still lean on trusty ol' Illustrator for some vectors. You're used to sharing work in Invision, gathering feedback, and iterating over a design to really nail it. You have experience with design systems (or are curious about them), and you have a portfolio of work ready to share.

    About Input Logic

We launch beautifully crafted apps and interfaces for brands and startups. As a small team, we hand-pick our clients and prefer to work with startups, or brands who think like startups (move fast and make things). We love coffee, board games, and spending time outside on our Vancouver Island playground.

    Additional

    • Full time, on-site and/or remote, from our office in Nanaimo, BC.

To apply, email us a link to your portfolio and we will consider it lovingly.

  • Only applications submitted via pentoaps.recruitee.com/o/product-designer will be considered

    The job description

We’re looking for a creative product designer who values simplicity and the "job to be done" over winning design awards. We're building simple and efficient products to help companies, payroll admins, and employees better manage, understand, and run payroll. If that sounds like something you'd be good at, we'd love to talk!

    Responsibilities

Here’s a snapshot of what you could be working on:

    • Work on product problems from initial definition through to shipping

    • Craft rational, elegant, and delightful solutions to complex problems

    • Experience using prototyping as a way to communicate design solutions

    • Great written and verbal English communication skills

    • Solid experience with contemporary digital design tools, such as Figma, Sketch, or similar

    • You always default to searching for the **right** solution to a problem — not the prettiest

    Bonus experience and skills

    • Experience designing for multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Mobile web, Desktop, etc.)

    • You have experience working in highly effective remote teams

    Your personality

    • You have a problem-solver attitude. No problem is too big or too hard.

    • You like working independently, but you also know when to involve your teammates and ask for help.

    • You are hungry to learn. You know you don't know it all, and do what you can to help yourself and your teammates be better every day.

    • You work well with lots of questions and few answers. We're a startup trying to do something no one else has done before, which means we're dealing with a lot of questions and what-ifs.

    • You enjoy giving and receiving feedback on a daily basis.
