YouGov Chat runs as a cloud native platform. We embrace a DevOps mentality on our development process taking ownership over development and infrastructure changes.
As a Data Engineer at YouGov Chat you will be part of a wider technical team following the product roadmap using Agile software development methodologies:

Building visualizations, monitoring and data pipelines to provide insights to the wider team

Evolving our data infrastructure.

Writing production-quality ETL code with an eye towards performance and maintainability.

Providing one-off reports on specific data points.

Collaborating with engineers on infrastructure projects.
We’re looking for:

Software Development Experience.
-
Experience programming in Javascript and/or Python.

Experience with SQL, Elasticsearch, Kibana and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).

Knowledge of BigQuery or Redshift.

Experience managing workloads in Cloud services - AWS knowledge beneficial.
