2Modern is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team. 2Modern is a fast-growing ecommerce company based in the San Francisco Bay Area (serving all of North America). Established in 2003, 2Modern is a leading retailer in modern furniture, lighting and home decor (Newsweek/Statista 2020 “Top 5 Home Retailer”). We are authorized dealers for over 225+ coveted brands such as Knoll, Cappellini, Foscarini, Moooi, Tom Dixon, Bernhardt, Artemide & more.

Team members are responsible for ensuring all processes from initial inquiry through delivery/installation are fulfilled efficiently. The role also encompasses post-delivery customer support. The position is full-time and is remote/telecommute. Open to candidates with normal working hours (9-5) and alternative hours (evenings and/or weekends).

Tasks mainly include: Answering and communicating with our customers and vendors via phone, email or chat in a professional and high paced environment. Candidates must be extremely detail oriented, independent with polished problem solving skills as well as be a team player. Candidate will be working within a dynamic sales and customer support team. This is a fast paced, customer support environment. Good communication skills, follow up and attention to detail are a must for this position.


We are looking for individuals who are able to offer an extremely high standard of customer service, are proactive and work well within a team. Knowledge/Passion of furniture, lighting and design is a plus.

We expect applicants to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be extremely organized, be able to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy, be able to problem-solve and have competent computer skills.

Candidates with relevant customer service or high-end retail experience preferred. To have experience of working with e-commerce platforms and CRM systems and working in furniture/lighting sales will be an advantage.

 

Requirements

- Professional knowledge, experience and/or passion for the Design Industry is a plus!

Tasks include:

- Communicating with Customers via phone, email and chat
- Tracking orders and shipments
- Communicating with Vendors/Brands
- Coordinating Shipments
- Processing Damaged claims
- Processing sales orders
- Authorizing return of merchandise

Hours Needed: Approximately 40 hours a week to be worked during standard business hours.
Starting Date: Right away.
