Team Overview

The Enterprise Access & Data Expertise team is a team of Data Advisors & Experts who partner with our Client Success Teams to answer the “what” of market access questions raised by our clients, by applying our data expertise and domain knowledge across the areas of policy and coverage data, over a wide span of therapeutic areas. The group ensures the delivery of a high quality and timely resolution, to all data questions that come to us directly and indirectly from our clients (pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients) and other internal stakeholders.


Position Description

As a Senior Manager to a team of Data Advisors, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, evolution, and day-to-day operations of all data consultants, while providing actionable data and drive value for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients and to contribute to MMIT’s goal of smoothing access to therapies. The Senior Manager will possess expertise in understanding access issues, while having a key voice in the management & prioritization of day-to-day client data queries, including their scope and quality. Individuals in this role will also be expected to manage mid-level staff (i.e., Project Managers, Supervisors) and assist in monitoring their progress in day-to-day work, as well as their professional growth path.

To succeed in this role, you will perform the following responsibilities with the highest level of quality, timeliness, and accountability:

Lead and develop staff (40%)

  • Serve as manager & advocate to our consultants and project managers on all day to day internal and external communication, becoming an active participant and contributor for all data governance needs, providing advice on data solutions to drive value.
  • Effective mentor and coach for written communication, client presentation skills on a day-to-day basis to ensure the client communication is continuously improving in style and format and winning client confidence and trust in the data.
  • Manage workload, provide oversight and quality to work, identify trends and insights. (30%)
  • Monitor engagement of Data Consultants on the Jira workstream and provide actionable and timely feedback and recommendations as needed.
  • Management of Enterprise Access & Data Consultants in Training program and follow up on all client data needs from a macro standpoint as a supplement to the data consultants focus on the granular details.
  • Lead the daily huddle with the team to develop a strong understanding of the client’s needs to be able to make recommendations for future engagement opportunities and proactive callouts.
  • Serve as the backup data consultant as needed, during times of surge and being able to pivot swiftly from one Client to another as needed.

Collaborate with commercial team to ensure optimal customer outcomes and solutions. (20%)

  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional internal and external teams as warranted to ensure no Client need (from a data perspective) gets stuck/ lost forgotten/ deprioritized.
  • Own monthly and quarterly reports, in partnership with SAMs to ensure ongoing alignment on all data topics and areas of future risk.
  • Partner with the CSM to identify opportunities to showcase expertise & data leadership and recommend topics for greater engagement and client education as needed for new and existing clients

Provide project management oversight. (10%)

  • Responsibility for day-to-day management of Project managers and their prioritization including allocation of our subject matter experts across the projects.  
  • Project Manage all RFP/ At Risk/ NPD QA efforts to ensure need is being met swiftly and with the correct prioritization


Relevant Skills & Experience


  • 5 or more years of professional experience in a client-facing role, in data and market research, management, consulting, biotech, pharmaceuticals, or managed care industry
  • Hands on experience in several aspects of Data Operations & Client service  
  • Experience leading and developing teams of data experts and proven ability to manage and grow team members of varying skillsets and levels
  • Prior experience managing multiple simultaneous research projects/products in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to create value in product offerings and deliverables
  • Strong detail-orientation, organizational skills, and commitment to delivering high quality work
  • Genuine interest in professional growth and development through feedback and commitment to corporate core values
  • Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization – with client team members, managers, senior executives, and junior staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-orientation
  • Expert knowledge of managed care, biopharma, and market access industry trends across a wide range of therapeutic areas
  • Experience effectively managing offshore teams preferred
  • Strong skills with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
