Position Summary:
The Resource Analyst is responsible for providing analysis that supports the business objectives of the Professional Services department, specifically the Resource Management Organization (RMO). This includes working directly with the Professional Services Leadership teams to assist with all aspects of the Resource Management process, systems, and tools. The main focus will be the deployment of resources in conjunction with customer-facing projects, maximizing productivity and capacity effectiveness as well as working hand in hand with department managers to efficiently account and foresee resource needs in the department. You will be expected to help inform decisions within the business and give visibility through data analysis of potential risks and opportunities.
The Resource Analyst will report to the Director, Practice Management. 
Key Responsibilities:
·         Assist Resource Manager with reporting and validation of data (i.e. utilization reporting)
·         Develop analytical reports consistent with company standards and management direction
·         Identify opportunities for business process improvements and make recommendations as appropriate
·         Ensure projects are staffed and delivered by appropriately skilled resources in a timely manner
·         Optimize the utilization of staff across teams and drive resource allocation decisions
·         Participate in and present analysis/resourcing reports in leadership meetings and working sessions
·         Attend internal meetings to understand resource implications of new projects and/or initiatives
·         Continuously review/analyze resource demand and capacity
·         Monitor effectiveness of resource plans, apply learnings to forecast models
·         Work closely with stakeholders to provide consultation and recommendations for resource planning
·         Assesses current resourcing requirements/plans to establish gaps or improvements for future resourcing needs
·         Track, monitor and report on staffing and availability to facilitate project assignment of the right talent to the right project based on skill sets, timelines and bandwidth
·         Perform trend analyses to highlight critical utilization, demand, capacity, and performance risk factors
·         Forecast future resource needs based on project plans
·         Prepare presentations, briefing materials and status reports for RMO leadership teams
Required Experience
·         Post-secondary degree/diploma in relevant field (BA/BS) or experience commensurate with job expectation is preferred
·         Sound knowledge and application of Resource Management principles and procedures in professional services
·         Proven experience in a professional service and/or a similar environment (i.e. tech/SaaS)
·         Ability to analyze data, reports and dashboards and a willingness to “dive into” systems and formulate new and better ideas on how to better support stakeholders
·         Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
·         Strong attention to detail
·         Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities
·         Strong analytics, financial, and collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate meaningful metrics
·         Highly skilled in use of enterprise systems and spreadsheet tools e.g. Excel
·         Ability to interact positively with employees at all levels of the organization
·         Ability to work with resources locally and remotely via phone and Zoom
·         Demonstrated in the ability to draw themes and conclusions from data analysis and communicate results
