- Proactively identify new relevant business opportunities through a variety of sources, qualifying them to ensure that they are well-aligned with our corporate capabilities and interests
- Manage the business development pipeline (housed in CRM), providing weekly reporting and analysis
- Continually innovate, pitching new ideas and strategies to strengthen the pipeline
- Own responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Develop, present, and own a sales/account plan, which aligns the leadership and support teams in order to ensure success
- Identify and build relationships with potential clients and partners to help in the creation and pursuit of new business opportunities; keep our prospective client and partner database updated
- Maintain knowledge of all product and service offerings of the company
- Strong background in Federal Government contracting, specifically within the software services industry
- Successful track record in business development, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to contribute to, integrate, and edit content for solid and compelling technical proposals and reports
- Ability to work closely with operations teams and executive management to help ensure that customer objectives are met without overcommitting
- Effective verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of modern technology concepts and landscape (e.g., DevSecOps, machine learning, data analytics, geospatial solutions, etc.); big plus if you have actual experience in software engineering
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently (experience working with remote, distributed teams preferred)
- Team player, highly collaborative mindset

- US Citizenship required; Security Clearance preferred
