About the Supply Chain Systems Consultant Position

We are looking for a Supply Chain Systems Project Consultant who will assist in supply chain system implementations for leading retailers and e-commerce companies and internal projects. Your duties will include creating functional and technical documentation, issue management and resolution, understanding a company’s goals and providing on-site support. Many projects will require prior experience working with supply chain execution by companies such as Manhattan Associates, JDA, and HighJump.


Remote; may reside anywhere in the contiguous United States.

Essential Functions

Understand a company’s functional, technical and process needs to create supporting documentation and solution requirements

Author technical documents such as design and modification specifications

Configure supply chain software systems to achieve business needs

Create and execute testing to validate software and processes are working defect free and to specifications

Build and execute effective training to transition software to end users

Provide support on-site to increase value being provided to the client

Manage tasks and deadlines with minimal guidance

Ensure the timeliness and quality of deliverables


Travel for this role will vary based on project requirements, typically between 30% and 50%

Required Education and Experience

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or other relevant areas

Minimum of two (2) years of experience implementing or supporting supply chain systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Ability to comprehend complex technical documents and translate requirements into actionable tasks

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience implementing supply chain solutions

Knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms such as UNIX and/or Linux servers and Oracle relational databases

Proficiency in Oracle SQL for application development

    • You educate and empower developers who want to build on Frontastic through technical content, including sample applications, presentations and blog posts
    • You give customers support in the development of the overall architecture including other involved systems and the migration strategy
    • You develop convincing customer-specific answers in the technical part of requests for proposal and specifications
    • You may speak at meetups and conferences with a focus on Germany


    • You reside and work in Germany
    • You have good writing and communication skills in German and English
    • You’re an experienced software developer, you have written and deployed a production application more than once. Experience with React, Atomic Design Patterns and Service Oriented Architectures are a plus.
    • You understand that there are always trade-offs between different software architectures and are able to discuss requirements and solutions without with openess and respect.
    • You’re experienced in the e-commerce field
    • You understand customer requirements and problems and are able to translate them into product features

I manage Recruiting and People, and need to bring on a Recruiter to fill roles ranging anywhere from Backend Engineer to Executive Assistant to Head of Operations. I work from San Diego and you can work anywhere in the US, but it’s best if you’ve worked remotely before (working remotely is awesome, but it’s not for everyone).

    • Update the hiring manager regularly, provide guidance and advice, share success metrics, and raise flags when needed
