What you’ll do


As our first full-time recruiter, you will lead the building the norms and practices within our recruiting team

Lead full cycle recruiting, from finding great candidates to successfully delivering offers

Build systems and processes to create a world-class team development organization—this is a huge opportunity to create the recruiting organization of your dreams

Create a great candidate experience that is transparent, fair, and engaging from initial communication to offer acceptance

Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers by understanding hiring needs and goals, preparing job posts, and iterating on selection criteria for candidate sourcing

Identify talented people for roles across the company including software developers, materials scientists, engagement managers, data scientists and engineers, and much more.

Work with hiring managers to help candidates understand the impact they can have at Citrine, and why it is such an excellent fit for the right person

Help our refine and coordinate our interview and selection process and ensure a great candidate experience

Work with select external parties in the recruiting process and ensure that we are finding the right people at the right times as efficiently as possible

Work directly with our executive team to prioritize and stage hiring plans across the company

Requirements

At least 3 years in a technical recruiting capacity

Desire to dive into building systems and processes from the ground up

Strong writing skills

An ability to seek out the best talent, wherever it is, and help those people understand why a particular role is a great fit

Incredible interpersonal skills: an ability to build relationships and maintain them over the long term. Our recruiting efforts are not transactional, they are high investment activities for us.

Experience writing, refining, and iterating on JDs to optimize effectiveness and impact with candidates

Authorized to work in the United States

Experience working with international candidates, specifically in Asia and Europe

A track record of recruiting across a diverse set of technical (computer science), scientific (physics, chemistry, materials), and non-technical roles

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • You take responsibility for all technical questions in the sales team
    • You perform hackathons and proof of concepts workshops together with partners and customers
    • You educate and empower developers who want to build on Frontastic through technical content, including sample applications, presentations and blog posts
    • You give customers support in the development of the overall architecture including other involved systems and the migration strategy
    • You develop convincing customer-specific answers in the technical part of requests for proposal and specifications
    • You may speak at meetups and conferences with a focus on Germany

    WHO YOU ARE

    • You reside and work in Germany
    • You have good writing and communication skills in German and English
    • You’re an experienced software developer, you have written and deployed a production application more than once. Experience with React, Atomic Design Patterns and Service Oriented Architectures are a plus.
    • You understand that there are always trade-offs between different software architectures and are able to discuss requirements and solutions without with openess and respect.
    • You’re experienced in the e-commerce field
    • You understand customer requirements and problems and are able to translate them into product features
    • You can relate technical benefits and constraints of a platform to business requirements and are willing to embrace problems by non-technical shareholders and incorporate their requirements.
    • You have an open and honest personality with a good sense of humour and a confident appearance
    • You’re good at networking and getting in touch with others quickly
    • You have a well-structured working style and are used to managing many projects at the same time.

    Please note: this role does involve a substantial amount of travel (up to 50%) mainly within Germany and beyond in Europe.

    YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

    • You are primarily responsible for migrating data from one web application to another according to specifications outlined by the client and defined by our Technical Strategist during the Discovery Phase.

    • Data Engineers work alongside a Project Team and other partners during the entire development life cycle of a project, as well as a supporting the project after it ships.

    • Technologies you’ll be working with include: Docker and containerization, CI orchestration tools, Linux servers, Relational databases, PHP7, Composer, etc

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Migrate data from one web application to another (e.g., a Drupal to WordPress migration)

    • Maintain our development, CI, and deployment infrastructure

    • Optimize client production infrastructure for maximum speed, scalability, and maintainability

    • Meet documented deadlines and complete tasks in accordance to project milestones

    • Work directly with Technical Strategists, Project Managers, and Senior Engineers on data architecture and application infrastructure

    • Communicate the status of your work to Project Managers and participate in a project team and department calls

    • Keep an accurate record of your time with our time tracking software

    • Be available during normal business hours

    REQUIREMENTS

    • You have 2+ years professional experience as a Data or Backend Engineer

    • Expert level experience with data extraction, transformation and loading from various sources

    • Expert level experience with WordPress plugin and theme structure, template tags, custom post meta, internationalization, and escaping/sanitization of data

    • Expert level experience configuring and administrating relational databases like MySQL and MSSQL

    • Experience analyzing and architecting new and existing data and recommend improvements

    • Experience providing best practice guidance for data technologies

    • Experience with PHP/Bash/WP-CLI scripting to link, migrate, and process data

    • Experience with Jenkins/CircleCI/Buddy and other orchestration tools

    • Experience using AWS, Google Cloud, WPEngine, Docker and other services and tools

    • Experience with Algolia Search, ElasticSearch, Redis, or Memcache

    • Experience with local environment setup for web application development, including Docker

    • Experience with Git version control and branching strategies

  • Qntfy is looking for a talented and experienced Project Manager (PM) to join our behavioral science team. PMs bridge the gap between our customer-facing team and engineering staff. They translate customer requirements into technical and manage the development and delivery cycle. Qntfy is a young and growing organization. As such, we are looking for a candidate  who is interested in working to further define their role and how it fits into the company. This role will specifically be responsible for working with data scientists and software engineers to deliver products and services to our behavioral science customers. Candidates should have a mix of technical and project management experience. Experience with an agile planning process, GitLab (or other other issue tracking tools), AWS, Kubernetes, Python, and Go are will be helpful in performing the duties of the role.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the technical development of projects and the delivery of products and services.

    • Lead planning and design sessions with key stakeholders to translate customer requirements into features and tasks

    • Coordinate internal and external schedules to establish delivery timelines and development priorities

    • Communicate effectively with customer leads about progress and requirements, document decisions and progress, and champion transparency

    • Ensure that research and development is conducted with the highest possible standards while building iteratively

    Qualifications

    • BS or Master's degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
