As Aiven’s Developer Advocate, you will be the customer’s voice by engaging with and building our community through support and outreach activities. You will also use the insights you gain to promote Aiven’s thought leadership in content, meetups and conferences. Depending on the candidate's experience and skills, this job can be performed remotely in any location in the EU or USA.

Your activities will be essential to informing Aiven’s development, sales, and marketing activities. Therefore, you need to be able to quickly grasp technical concepts, understand why they matter, and effectively communicate their value proposition to our customers.

Duties:

  • Perform outreach to develop an understanding of customers’ goals and objectives 

  • Work with the marketing manager to plan and organize meetups and webinars 

  • Create and deliver presentations at meetups, events, and webinars 

  • Actively participate in forum and social media channels 

  • Collaborate with the marketing manager to create content strategy and schedule 

  • Produce blog posts and guides according to content strategy 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders for product/technical overview 

  • Help new customers get started with the Aiven platform 

Experience:

  • Technical background in database and cloud computing

  • Demonstrated background in creating content for a technical audience

  • Experience in researching and participating in forums

  • Experience working across various teams

  • Awareness of trends in cloud computing and DBaaS

Abilities and interests:

  • Interest in technology, programming, and cloud computing

  • Proficient in spoken and written English

  • Familiarity with forums, social media platforms, and content management systems

  • Ability and willingness to work under own initiative

    BetterUp is looking for a “Cloud IAM Specialist” that will build our Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes from the ground up. As the Cloud IAM Specialist you will ensure that our internal customers have the best experience possible as consumers of our security services within BetterUp. You will define and automate processes, ensuring that our security, monitoring and response is best in the class. The Cloud IAM Specialist is a member of our Office of Information Security that is led by the Head of Information Security. You will be responsible for administering access to systems that are part of our Corporate infrastructure. You will work in cross-functional teams of Information Security, Product, Engineering, Customer Support, and 3rd-party vendors. You’ll partner and work with every employee at BetterUp!

    Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain the best in class infrastructure and service related to Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM). The person in this role will be tasked with working closely with our MSP (Managed Service Provider) as well as evaluating the services provided and determine the contract renewal.
    • Build out an escalation process; managing ticket queues and set priorities for the Cloud IAM services.
    • Evaluate existing methods and recommend scalable solutions for improving our Zero Trust Framework.
    • Follow industry-standard security best practices to keep employee data and BetterUp intellectual property safe and secure.
    • Expand and maintain BetterUp’s identity and access management.
    • Document configuration guides, run-books, installation guides, troubleshooting guides required for BetterUp’s identity and access management.
    • Collaborate with various teams for security operations and incident response, as required.
    • Troubleshoot related issues with teams within BetterUp as required.
    • Conduct Proof of Concepts for solutions and technologies required for Cloud IAM.
    • Work closely with our 3rd-party vendors as required.
    • Ensure all employees have access to the resources required to do their jobs while balancing security practices to make sure private data stays private, by partnering with the Director of Privacy and Head of Information Security as needed.
    • Oversee Cloud IAM projects in alignment with Security and organization goals.

    What You Bring:

    • 7 plus years’ progressively responsible to managing user access in fast moving SaaS environment such as start-ups.
    • 3 plus years’ progressively responsible for securing identity and access for highly distributed workforce in 100% cloud / SaaS environment.

    Data Analyst (Remote)

    Requirements and skills you possess:

    • 4+ years of work experience in analytics/data science or a directly related field - some of which should be in a technology environment 
    • A proven track record of initiating and delivering actionable analyses/recommendations in order to drive business impact 
    • An understanding of SaaS business models and key metrics 
    • Some experience building data science models to provide deeper insights 
    • Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical) and comfort working with high-level stakeholders 
    • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment 
    • Excellent SQL skills, fluency with BI/visualization tools, and deep knowledge of Excel, R, Python, or other analysis tools 
    • Strong critical reasoning skills, including an understanding of common pitfalls of data analysis
    • Have worked remotely before for at least 1 year
