What would I do at Litmus?

  • Drive the development of new data-driven product capabilities based on your insights and analysis

  • Identify and execute on new product initiatives in partnership with Product Management and Engineering

  • Own all phases of of the machine learning process; explore & prepare training set, random sampling, model selection & development, model validation, implementation and monitoring

  • Work directly with machine learning engineers to implement models, rules engines or other solutions derived from the data

What is Litmus looking for in a candidate?

  • 5+ years of experience with a degree in a relevant discipline

  • Must have at least 3+ years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Writing complex SQL queries

  • Working with large datasets

  • Using a scripting language like Python for data analysis

  • Experience using BI and visualization tools

  • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, k-NN, Naive Bayes, etc. 

  • Proven ability to perform statistical analysis and experience with tools such as SAS, R, Python or equivalent

  • Experience with cloud computing services like AWS or Google Cloud

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team

  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to have... 

  • Prior experience building software products for end users

    You will be joining our growing data team and have the chance to make a large impact at InVision. You will be embedded in our very data driven and data hungry Sales & Customer Facing Team to identify key metrics, conduct deep and rigorous analysis, and deliver novel insights and data products that drive revenue growth. You will be a trusted partner in the team tackling the toughest and most impactful analytical problems.

    What you’ll do:

    • Own the relationship with your stakeholders through excellent communication, collaboration, and the alignment of your work with what matters

    • Identify revenue opportunities using any and all relevant data approaches (modeling, analysis, reporting)

    • Identify efficiency opportunities using data (eg having our Sales team focused on the greatest opportunities and risks)

    • Enable data driven decisions throughout the Sales team

    • Drive learning through the use of data and your ability to share and distribute learnings

    • Provide access to data through dashboards and other tools to empower your team, and look for opportunities to automate and scale your insights

    What you’ll bring: 

    • A passion for, and track record of, leveraging data for business impact in an enterprise SaaS environment

    • Ability to write complex and performant SQL queries to extract data

    • Experience in designing and building successful models for Sales teams and the math / stats and programming skills required to do so (Python or R)

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex problems into meaningful and interpretable insights

    • Experience with visualization tools such as Mode Analytics (or others like Tableau, Looker)

    • Advanced degree in statistics or other quantitative field preferred

    Responsibilities

    • Expand our data warehouse with clean data, ready for analysis

    • Understand and document the full lifecycle of data from numerous sources and how to model it for easy analysis

    • Build reports and dashboards to help teams identify opportunities and explain trends across data sources

    • Follow and improve our processes for maintaining high quality data and reporting

    • Implement the DataOps philosophy in everything you do

    • Collaborate with other functions to create useful analyses and democratize insights across the company

    • Build upon and document our common data framework so that all data can be connected and analyzed

    This position reports to the Manager of Data

    Requirements

    • 2+ years experience in an analytics role with the People Team

    • Experience supporting People Team Metrics 

    • Deep understanding of SQL and relational databases (we use Snowflake)

    • Hands on experience working with Python and SQL to generate business insights and drive better organizational decision making

    • Hands on experience supporting People Team data and metrics (Diversity, Recruitment, Employee data) 

    • Experience building reports and dashboards in a data visualization tool

    • Passionate about data, analytics and automation. Experience cleaning and modeling large quantities of raw, disorganized data (we use dbt)

    • Experience with a variety of data sources. Our data includes Salesforce, Zuora, Zendesk, Marketo, NetSuite, Snowplow and many others (see the data team page)

    • Share and work in accordance with our values
