      About Us

At Close, we're building the sales communication platform of the future. With our roots as the very first sales CRM to include built-in calling, we're leading the industry toward eliminating manual processes and helping companies to close more deals (faster). Since our founding in 2013, we've grown to become a profitable, 100% globally distributed team of 43 high-performing, happy people that are dedicated to building a product our customers love.

Our backend tech stack currently consists of Python Flask/Gunicorn web apps with our TaskTiger scheduler handling many of the backend asynchronous task processing. Our data stores include MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis. The underlying infrastructure runs on AWS using a combination of managed services like RDS and ElasticCache and non-managed services running on EC2 instances. All of our compute runs through CI/CD pipelines that build Docker images, run automated tests and deploy to our Kubernetes clusters. Our backend primarily serves a well-documented public API that our front-end JavaScript app consumes.

We ❤️open source – using dozens of open source projects with contributions to many of them, and released some of our own like ciso8601, LimitLion, SocketShark, TaskTiger, and more at https://github.com/closeio

You have experience participating in code reviews and providing overall code quality suggestions to help maintain the structure and quality of the codebase.

You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a small and talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. You are able to manage your time well, communicate effectively and collaborate in a fully distributed team.

When you become a Doister, you’re not only joining a global, remote-first company, but a team of 70+ people who value:

      • Independence. Others can trust that you’ll deliver on time and your teammates don’t need to worry about you keeping your word.

      • Mastery. You love what you do and care deeply about the quality of your work, down to the smallest details. You’re continuously learning and pushing yourself to the limits of your ability. You're never satisfied with the status-quo.

      • Communication. Your communication is clear, concise, and engaging whether you're explaining a complex idea or providing feedback to a teammate.

      • Balance. You're mindful about cultivating a healthy work-life balance. You care about the well-being of yourself, your team and the people around you.

      • Impact. You're able to take a bird's eye view to pinpoint and then solve issues that have a high impact on our customers, our team, and our company. You're committed to the health and success of both your teammates and Doist as a company.

We invite you to visit our blog to learn more about us, our values, and how we work.

The Frontend team at Doist is looking for a new developer to join their ranks to build the best possible user experience for millions of user across multiple products.

      How we work:

The Frontend team is responsible for all code that runs in a browser. Be it the web apps of Twist and Todoist, browser extensions, electron apps or our landing pages.

Our main product work happens inside cross-disciplinary teams, that we call squads. You can read more about this in our blog. We have a rotating Hero role whose main responsibility is to tackle support issues, fix bugs and work on smaller improvements. On top of that everybody on the team gets a day per week to spend on Housekeeping; during this time we pay back technical debt, fix bugs and in general improve the health of our code base.

We believe in picking the most effective tools to do our best work. At the moment this means most of our communication happens asynchronously in Twist. Code and bugs are managed and reviewed in GitHub. Team meetings are done in Zoom.

We don't have a lot of scheduled meetings. Once a week the team meets to discuss the previous week and plan the next one. Once a month the whole team comes together for a retrospective to share candid feedback and take a look at the coming month.

      Day-to-day work:

What your work will look like on a day-to-day basis:

      • Implement features. From proposal, through specification and implementation, to maintenance. You're encouraged and expected to propose things that you think can be a good addition to the product.

      • Provide feedback. When planning a feature you're expected to provide feedback on expected challenges and unknowns as early as possible.

      • Improve the code quality. With time, our code accumulated some technical debt, which we pay off. Often we do it while we make features, but we also dedicate time to housekeeping each week.

      • Be a responsible & exemplary team member. We do code reviews, refactor code, learn new things and share our knowledge. You might also be appointed mentor of a new comer

      • Lead a squad. From time to time you might be a squad leader which bears the responsibility for the success of the project. In practical terms, you plan the squad work and orchestrate its execution. You balance this activity with hands-on work within the same squad.

      • Be a Hero. During this time you'll be working closely with the support team to triage and fix bugs from users. Also, you help speed up code reviews and support other teams in their projects.

                                              About Andela

Marc Andreessen, co-founder of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz wrote: “software is eating the world.” That statement is just as true today as it was eight years ago.  Software is embedded in our day-to-day, and few industries are immune.  Peak behind the code and you will find brilliant engineers pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Talk to any engineering leader and they will tell you that access to talent is their number one barrier to building software and growing their business. Research the industry and you read about the 1 million computer-programming jobs that will go unfilled in 2020.

That is where Andela comes in. We help engineering leaders at companies big and small bridge that gap. We are building tools, systems and processes to connect talent, no matter where they live, with the opportunities to do great things. To date, we have identified 1,000+ software engineers from Africa and placed them as full-time, embedded members of development teams at over 200+ tech companies. Along the way, we have raised $180M from Al Gore’s venture fund, Generation Partners, Google Ventures, Spark Capital, the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative and Serena Ventures.

And we are just getting started.

                                              Our People

All of our people live and breathe our E.P.I.C values:

                                              • Integrity: We choose extraordinary people and then trust them to do the right thing
                                              • Collaboration: We know our sum is greater than our parts
                                              About the Role

Andela’s Partner Engineering department is charged with delivering high value and quality software engineering services for our Clients (we call them Partners). Our core delivery model is embedded teams of software engineers who are remote and distributed.

Andela is looking for a Senior Director to lead how we enable and power engineering services with a strong bias towards action that can spot what needs to be done, effectively prioritize and mobilize teams to accomplish Andela’s overarching goals.

You will design, evolve and scale operational effectiveness that enable how our software engineers deliver for our partners. Including:

                                              • The overall productivity and effectiveness of the delivery organization. Leveraging  a small yet highly leveraged team who spike in analytical thinking, project and stakeholder management, and getting stuff done.

                                              • The systems and technologies used to differentiate and impact how Andela delivers. Enabling talented people to deliver their best, providing the support and quality control needed to help them through challenges, and developing the processes, protocols and procedures necessary to scale with our Partners.

                                              • How do I ensure that our Delivery teams have the best insights to better manage their portfolios and maximise growth and margins?
                                              • How do I ensure that Andela’s Engineering teams are prepared, supported, and continue to grow as they deliver for our Partners?

You are eager for the challenge of molding and shaping an exceptional engineering service organization. You know how to think – and act – big, while holding a strong moral compass in everything you do.

We need a special person who thrives in an environment of freedom. You might be our person if you can work largely self-directed from home and have hands-on experience securing cloud platforms.

                                              Responsibilities:
                                              • Build and improve on our intrusion detection monitoring to help us get deeper and more actionable threat insight.
                                              • Improve our security posture across our products, AWS infrastructure, and Kubernetes.
                                              • Make recommendations on security best practices and be on the lookout for things we should be doing better.
                                              • Remediate known vulnerabilities using tools like Twistlock, GitHub, and various AWS security services.
                                              • Work with your team to implement changes for compliance purposes (SOC 2, FedRAMP, ISO 27001).
                                              • Contribute to building a healthy culture of shared security responsibility across engineering and the larger organization.
                                              Qualifications:
                                              • You have a growth mindset and a deep passion for continuous learning.
                                              • You’ve built or overseen IDS and/or DLP implementation at a previous job and can make informed recommendations to our team based on our needs.
                                              • You have a solid understanding of the AWS security tool landscape and have the know-how to use these tools to address security needs.
                                              • You’re a doer. You’re in your element when writing code or building systems to deal with security concerns.
                                              • You’re proficient in one or more programming or scripting languages. We use Bash, Ruby, Go, and JavaScript heavily at Articulate.
                                              • You’re skilled in the art of troubleshooting systems. You can grasp both the problem at hand and the historical context of it. In a community collaboration led by D2iQ, Google, Docker, and CloudFoundry we've developed the Container Storage Interface (CSI) specification. The CSI specification and the related implementations to provide cloud-like storage features in DC/OS are key to D2iQ’s strategic goals.

We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to help us maintain, design, and develop our DC/OS Storage Service (DSS). The DSS is built in Go and acts as an orchestration layer between CSI plugins and Mesos. Mesos itself, and therefore the parts relevant to its CSI integration, is written in C++.  We also develop two CSI plugins that, combined with DSS, provides local storage to DC/OS workloads on top of LVM. These projects work as expected, with fairly mature metrics, monitoring, soak testing, etc. There is so much more to do now that we’re past v1.0!

If you are ready to take on the challenge of solving complex distributed problems, debug system bugs (strace for the win), design and implement distributed storage solutions, then this is the position for you.

You will work in close collaboration with the data services engineers to ship well-integrated products that support our customers on their journey.

                                              Responsibilities
                                              • Performing code reviews and giving cordial feedback

                                              • Creating clear designs with well thought out design docs
                                              • Writing reliable control plane code, and the tests that allow it to safely evolve
                                              Experience & Skills
                                              • Strong programming skills, must be proficient in Golang, C++
                                              • Experience in developing and maintaining distributed applications

If you want to have a greater impact in the open source ecosystem by enabling our Customers to use new
technology to build better software faster - then you should keep reading.

We are searching for another great Customer Support Engineer to support our APAC customers.   While this is a 100% remote role, we are looking for the Engineer to be based in Singapore.

Our CSEs also identify common patterns and/or challenges customers are facing so as to influence the evolution of the product portfolio and best practices. Note - Although this is a 100 % remote role, we expect that travel to customer locations will initially be 35% - 45%.

                                              Why this role matters
Our customers are enterprise architects, security officers, developers, DevOps managers. We offer them
subscriptions to valuable software that works. As long as our customers value their investment, they
continue to renew and expand their deployments. No value = no growth and no renewal.

Fortunately, our customers find us easy to work with (as reported via customer sat surveys). They trust
Sonatype and value their investments, as demonstrated by our 90%+ renewal rate -- one of the highest
renewal rates in the software subscription business.  But we choose not to rest on our laurels.
If our customers are not optimized, properly deployed, or have compromised rollouts due to their lack of
time, technical know-how/resources, or understanding of best practices - it will inhibit our mutual ability to
achieve success and expansion. That is why this role is so important.

                                              What our CSEs do
                                              • Coach and educate a set of customers on implementation and usage best practices for the Sonatype Nexus Platform to ensure smooth on boarding, faster adoption, increased footprint, etc.
                                              • Share field insights with your peers in Customer Success as well as our Sales, Product Marketing, and Engineering teams. Provide feedback on how to bring more valuable features to the product based on customer reactions and your hands-on experiences.
                                              • Discover and analyze gaps in the customer experience, identifying early warning signals and then working with cross-functional teams to address them
                                              • Act as the voice of the customer - use your insights to help us drive improvements, influence product roadmap, deploy customer advocacy programs, etc.
                                              • Ensure customers are SUCCESSFUL and DELIGHTED with Sonatype products and services, not merely satisfied

                                              What we are Looking For

To thrive as a Frontend Developer at Doist:

                                                                        > You feel that our values resonate with yours, and you see how they can act as guidance for your day-to-day work.

                                                                        > You're able to work autonomously and stay self-motivated. Previous experience working in remote team is a bonus.

SecurityScorecard's SaaS based platform enables enterprises to instantly rate and understand the security risk of companies, non-intrusively and from an outside-in perspective. We use an A-F rating scale. Companies with a C, D or F rating are 5 times more likely to be breached or face compliance penalties than companies with an A or B rating. Our platform is used by nearly 1,000 customers for use-cases including self monitoring, vendor risk management, cyber insurance, board reporting, and M&A.

Headquartered in New York City, we are funded by top investors such as Sequoia Capital, Google Ventures, NGP, Moody’s, Intel, and others. Our vision is to create a new language for companies and their partners to communicate, understand, and improve each other’s security posture.

                                                                                      About the Role:

We have big ambitions for our products here at BeBanjo, and we are looking for a talented Product Manager to help make them a reality.

                                                                                      About you

You should be empathetic and curious, never settling for the answers that leave you wondering.

You must be supportive and trusting of others. Through collaboration, you will come to decisions on the challenges that are worth solving and to do that, you will rely on the input and hard-work of Sales, Design, Technical Account Management, and Development. You should be prepared to communicate your decisions clearly, convincingly and where possible - with data.

You have a solid background working with digital products and have worked with, or in product teams for at least two years. You should have experience with web technologies and modern web products. You understand how digital products are made and you have some experience with modern software development practices like Continuous Integration/Delivery, Kanban, etc.

You are a smart individual, who enjoys framing and tackling complex conceptual problems. You will be great at thinking on your feet, and inspire confidence in your stakeholders (both internal and external). You can anticipate implementation challenges, call on the expertise of the product development team at the appropriate times, and support them during the implementation. When people ask why their work matters to our customers and our business, you will have the answers.

Our customers are based primarily in Western Europe and the US. You will work from where you want, but you should have enough overlap with business hours in Europe and be prepared to travel to meet and speak with our customers on a semi-regular basis.

                                                                                      About us

At BeBanjo, we strive to make our customers great at putting video content online. We build easy to use, powerful web applications to manage video on-demand (VOD) services. Our customers are broadcasters, Hollywood studios and platform operators across the globe. Our tools are at the heart of the ongoing revolution in the way films, TV series and other media content are produced, distributed and consumed.

We work fully remotely using Slack, GitHub, Zoom and our homemade tools. But if we feel like going to an office, we have one in London, one in Madrid and another in LA. We host get-togethers in sunny Madrid from time to time because it’s not always easy to bond with your colleagues over a video-chat!

BeBanjo is not a VC-funded startup. Don’t expect parties, video-games or a gym at the office. We were bootstrapped ten years ago, and we’re proud to have built a growing and sustainable business. We value honest, long-term relationships with our staff and our customers.

We care about nurturing an environment where our best work can happen. We’re kind to each other, encourage each other and look after each other. We’re open and collaborative, we listen to everyone and aim for understanding when making decisions.

We don’t work with impossible deadlines. We do not micro-manage people. We treat all staff like grown-ups, and we trust each person to work when and from where they wish. We don’t value long working hours. We believe in using our time efficiently and enjoying a good work-life balance.

We firmly believe in equal opportunities and continuously foster a workplace that is safe and inclusive for everyone. A diverse team makes better decisions, is more creative and adapts better to change. Our motivation, though, is more profound than that: we think the lack of diversity in our industry is the symptom of some severe flaws in our society, and we’re committed to doing our part in the ongoing global effort to fix them.

                                                                                      About the Job

                                                                                      • You will manage a part of our existing products. Your ownership will ramp up significantly as you learn.

                                                                                      • Initially, you will manage the feature backlog and use that as an opportunity to draw conclusions about our customers, their problems, our products and our processes. This will also be your opportunity to form relationships with the people integral to our products’ success (Design, Development and Technical Account Management).

                                                                                      • You are the voice of the customer and will take every opportunity to meet with customer stakeholders so that you have the insights required to make good product decisions. You will work closely with Technical Account Managers to communicate and coordinate these interactions properly.

                                                                                      • You will document your analyses (even in cases where it is simple, small and self-evident) so that the right context is available for design and development to do their work. You will perform detailed quality assessments for features that are implemented, to make sure that we consistently provide a good user experience.

                                                                                      • You will provide suggestions on ways that we can improve the processes for Product Discovery and Product Delivery and at some point, you will take responsibility for driving some of those improvements with the support of your fellow BeBanjers.

                                                                                      What we offer

                                                                                      • Work from anywhere with flexible schedules so that you can be there for the people you love, avoid commuting every day, be a nomad, find the environment where you’re most productive, and plan your day exactly how you like it.

                                                                                      • A competitive salary. We appreciate our team, and we pay accordingly.

                                                                                      • An indefinite contract. We value long-term relationships with our staff.

                                                                                      • Great flexibility to enjoy however you prefer your 23 days of annual holidays (in addition to the regular bank holidays).

                                                                                      • Any hardware and software you need to do your work comfortably.

                                                                                      • Support for your continuing education and professional growth: books, workshops, conferences…

                                                                                      • An inclusive, supportive and stable environment where your best work can happen, and you can grow as a product manager. We focus on results, not long hours, so that you can have a life and don’t burn out.

                                                                                      How to apply

We know applying for a job can be time-consuming and stressful. It usually is, so we won’t pretend it is not. What we can do, though, is our best to make you feel as comfortable as possible during the process. We’ve revisited our recruiting process with this specific goal mind.

We want you to succeed, and so, we made our recruiting process more like it is working at BeBanjo in reality: remote (you can do the whole process from home), flexible (you’ll have options in some steps of the process, and we’ll adapt to your schedules), asynchronous (we’ll minimise calls and interviews), and certain (you’ll know what to expect about each step of the process).

Still here? Good! Drop us an email that speaks to us. Tell us a bit about yourself and your background, why you are interested in the position, what your expectations for the job are, and what you will bring to our team. We value good writing and attention to detail, so please take your time with the cover letter. Tell us about previous projects that you helped shape and how you made teams run smoothly.

We are accepting applications for this position until the end of 28 February. We’ll let you know that we received your application but, to give everyone a fair chance to apply, we’ll probably not get back to you again until after the deadline passes.

We're aiming to change the landscape of modern web development. Netlify currently serves more than 700,000 developers worldwide.

We’re a venture-backed company, and so far we've raised about $45 million from Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, Bloomberg, and prominent founders and professionals in our space.

Netlify is a diverse group of incredible talent from all over the world. We’re ~40% woman or non-binary, and are composed of about half as many nationalities as we are team members.

                                                                                      About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our mission of changing the way the web is built. This position will specialize in building a world-class payments experience that meets or exceeds the bar of our Netlify developer experience. This is a very high impact role. The position requires working across the engineering, support, marketing, and sales organizations for ultimate success.

You'll drive the vision and implementation of our payments roadmap. This includes enabling our developers to quickly iterate and build on our current system, assessing and implementing payment providers, and presenting an easy to use and transparent user experience for purchasing and removing our products.

                                                                                      What are we looking for

You are the kind of product manager who takes the time to think about a problem holistically to uncover the root cause or opportunity. You revel in getting into the details and leading your projects all the way across the finish line. You're relentless in prioritizing what's critical to the success of the product and care about ensuring we deliver the best customer experience to meet our business goals. You understand the big picture but can live and thrive in the details of what we need for success right now.

You've implemented or improved a great payments experience for internal stakeholders and end-users alike for a SaaS product. You're familiar with the needs of customers and have experience working with a sales org to find, understand, and implement new opportunities.

As such, you will have broad latitude to improve our coaching and professional development programs, influence our performance management processes, and design cultural practices and feedback loops that promote learning. This role is not focused on designing content or curriculum but the organizational processes that improve the rate that Automatticans learn and become more effective. You will report to our Chief Implementer of Learning and Development and work closely with them in every aspect of the role, helping to scale the Learning and Development organization.

You have evaluated initiatives based on their impact on employee performance, not just tactical metrics like course attendance. You are extremely organized and detail oriented. You can take a high level strategic plan and fill out the details that it needs to be successful. You have experience convincing stakeholders to work with you who have their own priorities and may not initially want to prioritize your objectives.

You almost always hit your deadlines, and if something out of your control prevents you from doing so, you communicate proactively so those depending on you can also adjust. You communicate clearly and concisely through writing. The majority of our communication at Automattic happens via Slack or our internal wiki. You’re naturally curious and genuinely passionate about the prospect of having such broad influence on a company that’s building the future of work.

Outside of code, employees are encouraged to share causes close to their hearts with others so we can help lend a supportive hand.
                                                                                      • We love distributed teams. Fastly’s home base is in San Francisco, but we have multiple offices and employees sprinkled around the globe. We support our teams with great benefits, like generous parental leave, options for free medical/dental/vision plans, and an open vacation program that enables our folks to take the time they need to recharge (some benefits may vary by location).
                                                                                      • We value diversity. Growing and maintaining our inclusive and diverse team matters to us. We are committed to being a company where our employees feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work and have the ability to be successful — every day.
                                                                                      • We are passionate. Fastly is chock full of passionate people and we’re not “one size fits all”. Fastly employs authors, pilots, skiers, parents (of humans and animals), makeup geeks, coffee connoisseurs, and more. We love employees for who they are and what they’re passionate about.

Fastly provides equal employment opportunity without regard to an applicant’s race, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, religion, marital status or veteran status.
