      The Role

      What you’ll do:

      • Confidently collaborate with clients and internal team members to build products from existing ideas and create and pitch new ideas based on data, customer feedback, and industry experience. 

      • Lead an iterative product development approach that includes creative and technical members, focusing on delivering value regularly through considered and deliberate prioritization. 

      • Create and maintain product roadmaps, feature backlogs and product documentation, and user stories.

      • Take an active role in the sales cycle for new clients and participate in the creation of proposals in response to RFPs/RFIs.

      • Participate in team and company retrospectives to help define and refine working agreements and processes to help us work more effectively together as a team. 

      • Expand relationships with existing customers


      What you’ll bring:

      • A proven track record of leading the delivery of digital products and services that delight customers.

      • 3+ years of similar experience in a digital agency, consultancy, or equivalent setting where you were accountable to several client engagements.

      • A unique blend of business and technical savviness, a big-picture vision, and the drive to work with others to make that vision a reality through your persuasive written and verbal communication skills.

        Experience with large-scale open source web technologies (such as Drupal, WordPress, and React). 

      • Experience and/or a desire to work remotely.

      • The ability to travel for conferences, client visits, or workshops, ~10% travel.

      • Ability to work efficiently, sometimes under tight deadlines


      It’d be nice if you also had: 

      • Experience building products and services for all users, regardless of ability, backed by knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508 Refresh/WCAG 2.0 A and AA).

      The Solutions Architect brings deep technical expertise with a self-starter passion to enable successful adoption of Linux containerization and distributed-compute technologies in customer environments.       Responsibilities:

      • Continually assess and define learning requirements: Understand business objectives specifically the need to deliver brilliant engineering services to our customers and define the associated learning requirements.
      • Design end to end program: Define a holistic program along all touchpoints of an engineer’s journey to deliver value to our customers and transformative career experience to engineers.
      • Launch programs: Execute the programs with comprehensive change management to ensure awareness and engagement of the program to all stakeholders.
      • Continually measure impact of programs: Measure programs based on business objectives and strive for continual improvement, never settling for just ok. 
      • Stakeholder collaboration: Work with multiple stakeholders across the business to design, deliver, measure and improve the learning offering. Andela is a matrixed organization and the ability to collaborate is key to success. 
      • Leverage external tech communities: As required bring in experts in the tech ecosystem to supplement the program.
      • Inspire engineers with learning programs: Focus on the marketing and branding of programs to inspire success from our engineers and a world class program for world class talent.
      • Lead and develop your team: Guide, coach and support your teams to deliver impact for Andela and for themselves. 
      • Retention: Understand moments that matter and engagement strategies for employee and customer retention and align program to support retention.

      Requirements:

      • 10+ years experience in Learning & Development role, ideally working with technical teams
      • 3+ years experience leading teams and or a function
      • The willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
      • A Growth Mindset; the openness to learn new things to continually improve and the ability to learn from your mistakes and failures 
      • Openness to change and adaptability or experience working in a high-growth fast paced changing organization 
      • Able to thrive in a diverse, globally distributed team, ideally with experience working in a global organization
