     What you’ll do:

    • Prepare and post journal entries
    • Reconcile accounts and participate in the month-end close for various general ledger accounts and entities
    • Contribute to process improvement projects, including technology implementations and policy creation, as well as assist with audit preparation
    • Assist with audit preparation, including reconciliations and creating supporting schedules
    • Frequently communicate with various management levels across many disciplines, countries, and cultures

    What you’ll bring:

    • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting (Private) or 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting (Big 4 and Private experience)
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred
    • Foreign currency accounting experience preferred
    • Advanced Excel proficiency preferred
    • Familiarity with NetSuite general ledger preferred
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with an emphasis on being detail oriented

    We need an eLearning Specialist who has experience developing eLearning courses in eFront. This resource will join the Learning & Development team and work with Subject Matter Experts to define the required learning and implement courses in eFront.

    Responsibilities
    • Perform training needs analysis to determine the full scope of training required
    • Determine learning objectives for the training opportunity to meet the needs of the learner and business unit
    • Develop eLearning training modules

    As a data analyst at surefoot, your human interaction will mostly consist of conversations with our strategic directors and clients.     Primary Duties

    Responsibilities
    • Hire, develop, and manage a team of specialists to complete projects focused on excellence in the operations of a global Support Engineering organization.

    • Work with GitLab Support leadership, define workflows, practices, and standards to ensure that Support Engineers and Support Agents can deliver fast, reliable, and accurate customer support globally.
    • Work with management to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the systems and tools administered by the team; capture and report those KPIs regularly to confirm system health. Improve process and education around analysis and resolution of escalated customer and/or technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Drive towards becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in product or process areas as needed.
    Requirements:
    • 3+ Years Customer Support or Operations experience required, preferably in a global organization.
    • Zendesk Administrator or equivalent enterprise application system administration experience preferred with the ability to gain Zendesk Administrator Certification within 6 months of start date required.
    • 3+ years experience managing and leading a team of people, including goal-setting and leading personal development.
    • Content management experience; writing and troubleshooting JSON and/or JavaScript and HTML; familiarity with principles of change management.
    • Experience implementing business processes, sufficient for regulatory and security compliance and working with auditors.
    • Ability to use GitLab

    About the Role

    This role is fully remote.

    In this role you will work primarily with the Front End developers and own, drive, and improve the non-technical aspects of the Front End release cycle.     Primary Responsibilities

    Requirements

    Data scientists at Kalepa will be turning vast amounts of structured and unstructured data from many sources (web data, geolocation, satellite imaging, etc.) into novel insights about behavior and risk.     What You’ll Do

    We are looking for a Competitive Intelligence Manager  to identify competitive trends, provide early warnings on threats and opportunities in the evolving competitive CI/CD, DevOps and overall software delivery landscape, and evaluating their impact on CloudBees. 

    As an integral part of the product marketing team, the Competitive Intelligence Manager will work across  product management, product marketing, solutions architects and field sales to collaborate and gather information on key competitors that share the CI/CD market with CloudBees.

    You will have full responsibility for researching and reporting on organizations that directly and indirectly compete with CloudBees across our solutions suite, with the overall goal of enabling the Sales teams and Business Partners with winning competitive strategies.

    Legislative Development Consultant, Short term 

    Period: 1-2 months (Jan-Feb 2020)

    Avaaz is at the forefront of global anti-disinformation efforts to protect the world’s democracies from the proliferation of fake news. After a pilot project in Brazil, which saw Avaaz take down a huge Facebook disinformation network in the country, we launched an effort to protect European elections with an operation powered by big data, investigative journalism, and the strength of our network of 20 million members in the EU. The aim was to identify and debunk fake news, and to take down the biggest disinformation networks. Avaaz discovered and reported on disinformation in just seven EU countries that reached more than 750 million views in just the three months preceding elections. 

    Building on our reporting and on the broader efforts of government and civil society to highlight the dangers of disinformation, Avaaz is now preparing to push for anti-disinformation legislation at the EU level. We are seeking assistance to assess potential avenues for EU regulation, develop model legislation, prepare outreach materials, and assist Avaaz staff with advocacy strategy.

    This is a short-term consultancy, and is not intended to lead to full-time employment -- although Avaaz will always consider outsrtanding candidates for available positions.

    Outputs

    As a Legislative Development Consultant, you will be responsible for producing, in close collaboration with Avaaz staff:

    • An analysis of potential avenues for EU legislation on disinformation;
    • A polished model regulation, consistent with existing EU law and in conformity with EU legislative drafting practices; 

    • Outreach materials for Commissioners, MEPs, and other key stakeholders; and,
    • Condensed versions of the model.

    Depending on aptitude and interest, you may also assist Avaaz staff with developing advocacy strategies, including identifying key targets and formulating plans to win them over.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 3 years experience of handling legislative drafting and/or legislative advocacy at the European Union;

    • Some experience building data science models to provide deeper insights 
    • Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical) and comfort working with high-level stakeholders 
    • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment 
    • Excellent SQL skills, fluency with BI/visualization tools, and deep knowledge of Excel, R, Python, or other analysis tools 
    • Strong critical reasoning skills, including an understanding of common pitfalls of data analysis
    • Have worked remotely before for at least 1 year
