  • SecurityScorecard (US only)
    Today

    Why SecurityScorecard

SecurityScorecard's SaaS based platform enables enterprises to instantly rate and understand the security risk of companies, non-intrusively and from an outside-in perspective. We use an A-F rating scale. Companies with a C, D or F rating are 5 times more likely to be breached or face compliance penalties than companies with an A or B rating. Our platform is used by nearly 1,000 customers for use-cases including self monitoring, vendor risk management, cyber insurance, board reporting, and M&A.

Headquartered in New York City, we are funded by top investors such as Sequoia Capital, Google Ventures, NGP, Moody’s, Intel, and others. Our vision is to create a new language for companies and their partners to communicate, understand, and improve each other’s security posture.

    About the Role:

We seek a UX Designer to work on our fastest growing platform tier today, known as Atlas. Atlas is our collaborative security product that streamlines the process of managing and executing cybersecurity assessments and ultimately turbocharges the due diligence process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Iterative prototyping and refining designs from low-fi wireframes to beautiful mocks
    • Employ user-centered design methods to develop user interface specifications such as interaction models and workflows
    • Create wireframe layouts for pages that present content and functionality with intuitive clarity and beautiful balance
    • Lead the campaign production process — seeing the idea through the creative process to final sign off and implementation
    • Work closely with our product managers, designers and engineers to define the best way to approach a problem
    • Brainstorm and visualize design concepts

    Experience and Skills:

    • 3-6 years of experience designing end-to-end user workflows in B2B SaaS
    • Ability to adapt to different delivery timeframes & information availability
    • Strong communication skills with engineering team
    • Ability to create phases for their designs
    • Take feedback from users and abstract concept, not limited to the solutions proposed
    • Create compelling stories to convince Devs and Project to work on solutions

SecurityScorecard embraces diversity. We believe that our team is strengthened through hiring and retaining employees with diverse backgrounds, skillsets, ideas, and perspectives. We make hiring decisions based upon merit and do not discriminate based on race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status.

  • We're looking for a Design Lead to help us help our clients build incredible teams all over the world.

Organisations need to find the right people to solve the challenges they're addressing. People need to find the right organisations where they'll thrive in their career. We unite these two parties - leveraging design, software and data to facilitate the interactions that address everyone's needs.

We're a 'design-led' organisation. We believe most B2B software is (still!) designed for the buyer, not the user - fundamentally, most people just don't engage with B2B software. We're different - investing heavily in design and customer success and going 'above and beyond' to educate, guide and empower our clients. We've recently invested a considerable sum into a re-brand with Focus Lab and are looking for someone to build on top of that foundation, ensuring we win on design for years to come.

You'll work across our entire 'design ecosystem' - whilst you'll focus on our core product experience, you'll also contribute to our internal tools and all other aspects of the Pinpoint experience, from our clients to our colleagues. You can expect to have a say in all design decisions from new ideas through to iterations of existing functionality and should be just as comfortable reviewing engagement data and talking to end-users as you are in Sketch.

    Key Responsibilities

    Day-to-day, you'll:

    • Work with our product team, reviewing engagement, usage and support data and talking to customers to identify issues / opportunities and then design workflows, mockups and visual solutions to address them.

    • Identify and define new features / concepts and design the end-to-end workflows, mockups and visual solutions required to get those features built and implemented.

    • Take ownership of our design system, expanding our visual language over time, refining existing components and ensuring we adhere to the system as a business.

    • Constantly iterate and improve on our existing work based on feedback from the wider team, end users, your own experience, etc.

    • Contribute to the non-technical aspects of our business - from our marketing content to the office, we want every aspect of the Pinpoint experience to feel 'designed' and not an afterthought - this is as true for our employee experience as it is for our clients.

    Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

    Ideally, you'll:

    • Have prior experience designing digital products (with examples of work you've contributed to in the past).

    • Have an understanding of the entire design process, from identifying the problem through to the design and execution of a solution.

    • Be comfortable designing mockups / prototypes in a tool of your choice. (We use Sketch, but you can use whatever you'd like).

    • Have a passion for the Software as a Service (SaaS) space and be interested in our industry. There are fantastic designers in every sector, but we'd love you to love this one.

    • Take pride in the 'why' behind your designs. You'll be happy explaining your decision making process and rationale to others.

    • Enjoy learning. We move fast and have big ambitions - the only way we'll achieve them is if the growth trajectory of our people is as fast as the growth trajectory of our business. You'll constantly strive to improve as a designer and will constantly push standards.

    Benefits

We care deeply about making Pinpoint an incredible place to work and invest a significant amount of time and energy into creating and maintaining a company culture that provides our team with a generous level of support whilst inspiring them to do their best work.

The specific benefits / perks we offer are continually evolving, but currently include:

    • Full healthcare coverage for you and your family

    • Generous personal development budget

    • Top of the line equipment (4K Monitors, Macbook Pro, etc.)

    • Flexible working (choose your hours / days / where you work, within reason)

    • Competitive salary with regular pay reviews

    • Generous option grants

    About Pinpoint

Our online software helps businesses find, assess and hire the best candidates using our suite of intuitive tools.

We strive to be best in class by empowering our people to challenge, innovate and advance in everything we do.

Be a part of an organization that deploys the best working methods used by the world’s leading brands and creates an environment that allows you to get on and accomplish your mission.

Do your best work with the tools you need, with support from the best people, in your own time, your way. We succeed together by operating with flexibility, always learning and ever-evolving.

Because of these beliefs, we’ve built a team where

-- Distributed approaches and centralized intelligence merge. Each teammate is constantly innovating and trying something new. Every mistake is prevented by all. Every success is learned by all.

-- Each of us contains the sum of the knowledge, intelligence, and creativity of our entire team.

-- We evolve and mutate constantly like an organism, identifying successful and problematic tactics and incorporating ideas from any source.

    Who We Want

Our graphic marketing designer will have the critical role of helping us articulate the Invisible Brand. We are building a revolutionary product for our customers that will change the future of work. We are seeking someone able to put the Capital ‘D’ in design that will be represented across digital and print channels. This will be an exciting opportunity to manifest a future-brand that is breath-taking and remarkable – a true portfolio builder -- with a team of marketers working to build a compelling story about how Invisible is going to change the world.

-- Craftsmanship - Deliver results with pace and quality

-- Teamwork - A culture where personal and team growth thrive and we become better every single week

-- Growth - Tenaciously improve yourself day after day at an exponential rate, and bring the company with you

    Specifically, a Marketing Designer will

-- Coordinate marketing details related to B2B/B2C marketing, advertising, video marketing, online marketing, email marketing and social media marketing

-- Own and maintain the Outreach visual brand and create standards that are used across Marketing and Creative teams

-- Conceptualize creative and inspiring design concepts for multiple mediums including web, mobile, video and print

-- Create visual assets for both print and digital, including print materials, website design, display advertising, videos, trade show/event materials, internal SWAG (t-shirts, buttons, stickers, etc) and brand templates for decks, docs, and campaigns

-- Help to create our “design voice,” both visually and conceptually.

-- Extend our brand and visual identity across the company by collaborating with Product, Customer Success, Sales and Recruiting to support their initiatives with beautiful, compelling design

What to expect if you join our mission

-- You will work on the most important problem - We always solve the most important problem and prioritize to make effective use of our time.

-- You will never do the same thing twice - Do it once, learn, systematize, automate, upgrade. We are exponential.

-- You will never work on a problem that should have been prevented - Prioritize, execute, and prevent future problems.

-- You will systematize or document most things - Creating systems checks if you really understand what you're doing, allows others to analyze for improvements, and means the entire team upgrades together.

-- You will make mistakes - That’s okay. This is how we learn. Prevent the mistake from happening again.

-- You will be empowered and encouraged to act with creativity - We have no limits. Every team member is empowered to upgrade our collective intelligence with new ideas. Act with moxie. Act with creativity. Act with inspiration.

    Our Culture

“The culture is imbued with romantic capitalist values. These are just a few:

    • heroism (be insanely ambitious, you should want your boss’ job, you have a moral obligation to seek power and use it for good, the modern knight fights abstract dragons),

    • challenge (welcome adversity, struggles and suffering, steel yourself for the worst, challenge problems to a duel, seek the widest possible stage for your talents, identify and solve for the biggest problem you can find),

    • meritocracy (create and measure the value you create, strive to be the best),

    • ownership (you are the CEO until told otherwise),

    • collaboration (solving problems together benefits everyone),

    • competition (if you outperform you will be rewarded),

    • glory (do the great work of your life, here and now, the work that you were made for, and that you will be remembered for — seek your aristeia moment),

    • truth (seek the truth, express yourself freely, confront problems head on, be as transparent as possible, don’t hide the bad and the ugly, stand up for your opinion by engaging in debate, change your mind when you’re wrong), and

    • intensity (work HARD, don’t waste time, the more fully you absorb yourself in your work, the more aggressively you work, the better you work).”

    Reporting

As Marketing Designer, you are the “CEO of Marketing Design”.

You will report to Nerissa Sardi (VP of Marketing).

    Join Our Team

“Do it because you want to do something on the edge of hard and impossible. Do it if you are the unstoppable force seeking an immovable object. You want to see what you’re made of. Do it if you want to test your limits: your ability to create order in chaos, to operate under extreme stress, to achieve impossible goals…

Do it because you personally want a synthetic intelligence. Do it because you want to solve the biggest problem in the world: wasted time. Do it if you want humans to spend less time doing robotic jobs, and more time being creative and strategic.”

So what do you say, will you join us?

We are a fully distributed, diverse team from around the world, on a mission to make DuckDuckGo the company people trust most with their online privacy, and we want your help!

Join our team as remote Lead Product Designer and help shape the DuckDuckGo user experience across all of our products.

As part of our growing team, you will collaborate with team members at all levels to identify and close major gaps in our products. You will be involved in the entire design process, from ideation to execution, and have a voice in all product decisions, big and small. Over time you will take responsibility for mentoring fellow designers on functional and career growth.

We are fully-remote and empower our team to be self-directed and self-motivated in their projects. If you'd thrive in that environment, and our core values resonate with you -- build trust, question assumptions, and validate direction -- you'll fit right in!

    What you will do:

    • Lead development of projects by taking vague problems, scoping them into high impact projects, and executing them against a set of success criteria.

    • Take responsibility for solving product issues – large and small.

    • Practice hands-on leadership, by creating flow diagrams, mockups, and prototypes that lead teams to a solution.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful work that is informed by data and user feedback.

    • Advise members of the design team in both functional and career growth.

    • Participate in mentorship, knowledge sharing, and/or contributing to evolving our processes.

    What we are looking for:

    • 7+ years of product design experience with a minimum of 2+ years in lead-level design positions (e.g., Lead, Senior) at significant global consumer brands.

    • A proven track record and hands-on strengths in designing mobile apps, desktop apps, and/or multi-platform products, as demonstrated in your portfolio.

    • Proficiency in defining, comprehending, and producing flows involved in complex and cross-platform products.

    • Ability to advise and mentor other designers on their process, craft, and career growth.

    • Proficiency in leading projects through all areas of the product process, including the ability to write project briefs that define and communicate project goals with stakeholders.

    • Ability to carry ideas forward with confidence and discretion while working proactively, independently and transparently.

    • Strong aesthetic sensibility with acute attention to detail.

    • Expertise and experience developing, scaling, and evolving design systems across products.

    • Proficiency with leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data in making design decisions.

    Other things to know:

    • While we leverage specific job titles for hiring purposes, we do not use them internally. Instead, we follow our own professional levels, with expectations for each level clearly defined across several dimensions.

    • We are a small, remote team distributed across time zones, and we rely on a variety of communication tools throughout the day

    • Sometimes we meet up! Expect to travel at least two times a year: once for our all-hands meetup and again for a team retreat (each ~4-5 days).

    • We believe in a focused approach to collaboration, where individual team members work on a single top priority at a time, each supporting larger, company-wide objectives. This philosophy serves to impact our vision to raise the standard of trust online.

    • Our work philosophy centers on empowered project management. All team members have opportunities to run projects.

    • Transparency supports individual and team success at DuckDuckGo. We encourage everyone to participate in areas of interest throughout the company. Anyone and everyone can (and should) ask questions and offer feedback about our products and internal projects.

    • We aim to exemplify our values (build trust, question assumptions, and validate direction) in everything we do.

    • While this is a full-time job, we offer a flexible work arrangement with no core hours, expecting an average commitment of 40 hours per week.

    • We support professional development of our team members through career advisory and a learning stipend, reinforcing our culture of growth and skill-building.

DuckDuckGo does not work with any recruiting agencies or services. Instead, we work with each candidate one-on-one throughout a unique hiring process that we've built to reflect our company culture.

    Description
As a well-rounded user experience designer, your contributions will be the most highly visible in the organization, and our customer base. You should have a healthy appreciation of facing a variety of diverse challenges outside of your comfort level and working under pressure. A typical day in the life of a UI/UX lead just might include:

    • Mocking up UI and workflow for several new features being added to the platform.
    • Designing visuals, interactions, and individual assets for a new feature, such as latency visualizations across the entire network.
    • Interacting with customers to get feedback and better understand their needs to generate ideas for improved UI/UX based on such feedback, such as creating better data views for port capacity utilization.
    • Working closely with the product and software engineering teams to clearly communicate design ideas and get them implemented in the product.
    • Inspiring others in the company, from the executive team to customer support to think design first.
    • Researching additional ideas that you may have to improve the product/platform overall and sharing them with the team.

    Skills & Requirements
The candidates who will excel in this role naturally understand that the user experience can make or break even the best ideas. You are motivated to invent, create, and understand your target customer on a deep level. More specifics include:

    • Experience designing and delivery products start to finish, and working closely with engineering and product teams
    • Be highly proficient prototyping experiences by creating wireframes and mockups in the tool of our choice
    • Extensive experience creating original digital assets to support your design ideas in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic design tool sets
    • Solid experience implementing your ideas using HTML5, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript, so you understand design that is practical to implement.
    • Experience using Git
    • Strong desire to quickly iterate on product, and use data to drive decisions
    • A desire to break the mold and shrug the tried and true when it comes to displaying enormous and complicated data sets.
    • A never ending drive to create easy and intuitive workflows for complicated tasks

It’s also a plus if you:

    • Have some experience with AngularJS and D3.js.
    • Have a basic knowledge of various network concepts (routers, ports, IPs, VLANs, etc.)
  • Taskade is building real-time collaboration for distributed teams, starting with tasks. We are a team of startup veterans obsessed about improving team collaboration, workflow, and productivity. At Taskade, you’ll have the chance to work with a small, closely knit team and make a big impact on our product, business, and engineering efforts.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Product / UI / UX Designer who is passionate about creating practical, friendly and human solutions to complex problems. They will be joining the core team to help build the future of productivity.

    • Work directly with head of product and engineering leads

    • UI/UX mockups of new features

    • Design for the web, mobile web, mobile and desktop

    • Help create a coherent design language for the product

    • Create assets, sprites, graphics

    • Interview customers to gather feedback

We value “T-shaped” people. That is, people who are both generalists (highly skilled at a broad set of valuable things—the top of the T) and also experts (among the best in their field within a narrow discipline—the vertical leg of the T). An expert who is too narrow has difficulty collaborating. A generalist who doesn’t go deep enough in a single area ends up on the margins, not really contributing as an individual.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex ideas

    • Over 4 years of experience designing products

    • Experience with Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Framer and equivalent tools

    • Deep understanding and passion for team productivity and collaboration tools

          • Work from anywhere. Stay at home, or go digital nomad: we don’t care as long as you have a fast, reliable internet connection, and get your work done.

          • Occasional company get-togethers in places like Sicily, Greece and Poland.

          • Design user experiences for AR and VR 🕶️

          Must-have:

          • You’re a senior designer.

          • You have an online portfolio with links to live projects you’ve created and possibly a story of how you tackled the project.

          • You’re a minimalist, and every pixel of your design is intentional and can be justified.

          • You’re economical and know how to not reinvent the wheel. Utilising tools like Zapier, and web APIs in order to build MVPs rapidly

          • You know that “good designers copy, and great designers steal”. You’re unashamed of scavenging the best from Product Hunt, Dribbble, and co.

          • You’re a designer with an entrepreneurial mindset. You think both delightful and profitable.

          • You know how to use Figma. (If not, you’re confident you’ll figure it out in ~2 days.)

          • You balance business and user needs.

          • You know HTML/CSS like the back of your hand, and are okayish with JavaScript.

          • You are a great communicator. You have a knack for simplifying the complex.

          • You write well, and you’re pedantic about every word and punctuation.

          • You know that assumptions kill projects, and you bust them by doing effective, fast, and cheap user research.

          • You know when to do qualitative, and when to do quantitative user research.

          • You are open-minded, progressive, and accepting to all people.

          • Similarly you care about inclusive design, starting from accessibility, all the way to designing a product that makes people feel respected.

          Very nice to have:

          • You’re a humanities geek. Or at least you have an appreciation in things like the arts, history, culture, museums, archeology.

          • Have worked in the non-profit and/or GLAM sector before

          • You know some JavaScript skills (not just simple jQuery).

          • You can pick up enough from dev discussions to tell when a technical decision will have a UX impact, and you champion the user/business in that conversation.

          • You know how to use Git, and have collaborated with developers using Git.

          • You’ve previously worked at both agency/freelance and in a product team.

          • You’ve created and worked with design systems

          • You have experience designing for AR, VR and mobile

          • You’re a natural people person, and love sitting down with, and interviewing users.

          • You have remote work experience, know how to structure your daily routine and know how hugely important written communication skills are.

          • You have a solid knowledge of Trello and Realtimeboard.

          • You have conducted A/B tests, and measure the impact of your work in terms of revenue, user engagement, reduced bounces, or any other proxy variable.

          • You have experience facilitating remote design sprints.

➡️Please apply via angel.co and as part of your application send us your email address, a link to your portfolio, and your interest in designing for cultural heritage.

We will then send you a link to a survey with questions. It’s kinda like a phone screen but more convenient. For this role we’re only accepting senior designers with an online portfolio of work. Ideally a personal side project or two as well showcasing your entrepreneurial side.

        • DESIGN RESEARCH MANAGER

          Summary

The Wikimedia Foundation’s Product Design Strategy Group is seeking a Design Research Manager to manage our small team of researchers and to organize, orchestrate and lead larger research initiatives. All the research projects the Design Strategy team takes on directly support various product development initiatives underway at any given time. A key aspect of this role will be to gather the pressing questions each product team is weighing, evaluate them in terms of urgency and potential impact, and then define lean methodologies for providing answers.

The Design Research Manager will act in a dual capacity of framing and managing design research projects across the Product team, tracking the work of individual design researchers while also contributing as a lead researcher. The person in this role will be responsible for developing the strategic research and experimentation that helps inform and inspire future product and platform decisions.

The Design Research Manager will also be accountable for the productivity and professional development of the researchers they manage as well as the general happiness and rapport of the team as a whole. This role will be augmented by a Program Manager focused on providing logistical, tactical and all other support needed to realize the research goals of the team.

Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects are complex places, both socially and technically — this position requires enthusiasm for learning about new communities, processes, and cultural norms.

          You are responsible for:

          • Managing people, their priorities and their professional growth
          • Managing team budget with the support of Design Research Program Manager
          • Effective collaboration and coordination with Design Research Program Manager
          • Translating organizational goals into project priorities
          • Driving department level objectives
          • Leading key research initiatives

          Skills and Experience:

          • Facility in qualitative and quantitative methodologies
          • Experience leading complex research projects from start to finish (solo and in collaboration with others)
          • Experience leading/managing international research efforts
          • Aptitude for defining and measuring project success
          • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
          • Strong time-management skills
          • Self sufficiency and ability to resolve what blocks your work within a cross-functional team environment
          • Comfortable working on short deadlines and the ability to pivot quickly
          • Collaborative nature (willingness to make collaboration across time zones via remote functionality work, as well as in person collaboration)
          • Academic training in Design Research, Behavioral or Social Sciences (e.g. sociology, social psychology, anthropology), Information Science, or Human-Computer Interaction background
          • 5+ years of professional experience in a research role, ideally on a product-focused team
          • 2+ years managing other researchers
          • Masters Degree or PhD in a related field
          • Experience working collaboratively with design teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations

Qualities that are important to us:

          • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams with data scientists and designers
          • A history of social activism, volunteering, and/or open source contribution
          • Experience contributing to Wikimedia projects
          • A strong portfolio of public presentations of research work (e.g. conference presentations, white papers, peer-reviewed manuscripts)

          The Wikimedia Foundation is...

...the nonprofit organization that hosts and operates Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia free knowledge projects. Our vision is a world in which every single human can freely share in the sum of all knowledge. We believe that everyone has the potential to contribute something to our shared knowledge, and that everyone should be able to access that knowledge, free of interference. We host the Wikimedia projects, build software experiences for reading, contributing, and sharing Wikimedia content, support the volunteer communities and partners who make Wikimedia possible, and advocate for policies that enable Wikimedia and free knowledge to thrive. The Role

As a UI/UX Designer, your work will involve product design, interaction design, and visual design. Roon users are discerning, obsessive music lovers, and our team is passionate about giving them high quality functionality and visually exciting experiences as they interact with the music they love. You’ll be tasked with helping to build and maintain the visual style and user experience of Roon across desktop, mobile, and the web. You’ll be working closely with the product team and front-end developers to incorporate feedback and solve problems throughout the development cycle. This requires thinking through user problems, finding reasonable solutions, mocking them up in detail, creating prototypes, helping with usability testing, and working with engineers to build the final product.

          About You

          • You have excellent communication skills, and speak and write English well.
          • You are detail oriented and are excited to polish until your work is pixel-perfect.
          • You can work independently and own projects to completion.
          • You are ready to collaborate closely with our product leads, marketing team, and engineering department to ship beautiful and intuitive new features.
          • You can accept feedback and engage in productive debate about design.
          • You aren't afraid of doing grunt work when your projects require it.
          • You are comfortable making noise when you get stuck or when something feels wrong.
          • You think in terms of design systems and make rational design decisions.
          • You understand the technical limitations behind your decisions and can communicate your ideas to our engineers.
          • You have a polished sense of style and can work within and expand our design language.

          Details

The most active portion of our work day is 11AM-6PMEST. Your typical work hours should overlap that period sufficiently to facilitate collaboration with others. Aside from that, we do not care where you are located or if you need to split up your work hours in a non-standard way.

We offer Health/Dental/Vision (80/20), 401k with match, paid parental leave, and flexible time-off.

          About Almanac

Almanac’s mission is to democratize access to 21st century skills, insights, and tools so that no one is limited by knowledge in pursuit of their potential. We do this with a new kind of document editor that saves you time and helps you do your best work. We’ve built:

          • A user-created library of templated docs, so you never have to start from scratch
          • Workspaces that bring your team together in a single home for your work
          • Powerful search that gets you to the right doc, every time
          • Linked document versions, so you can merge or update multiple docs in one tap
          • Approvals to keep your team aligned and on track through complex workflows

We've seen professionals waste too much time managing information across disorganized documents instead of doing meaningful work. We believe this problem isn’t rooted in a lack of knowledge in the world, but in the deficiencies of tools we rely on to access, share, and improve how work gets done.

We’ve been moving fast since we founded Almanac in January 2019. Almanac is now used by over 4000 teams and sees over 50,000 visitors per month to its public Core of knowledge. We’ve raised a $8M+ from leading Silicon Valley investors with a lean (not mean) team of 10 people.

That’s where you come in: we’re looking for a full-time Designer to help lead the development of a product that will help people work better and faster.

            About Datadog:

At Datadog, we’re on a mission to build the best monitoring platform in the world. We operate at high scale—trillions of data points per day—providing always-on alerting, metrics visualization, logs, and application tracing for tens of thousands of companies. Our engineering culture values pragmatism, honesty, and simplicity to solve hard problems the right way.

            The team:

The Product Design team works on embedded product teams, collaborating closely with PMs and engineers on major product area. Product Design is its own department, independent from engineering or product management. We’re full-stack designers, owning all aspects of our work from research, prototyping, polish, and engineering hand-off. We work closely together, collaborating with our DesignOps team to develop our design system and tooling.

            The opportunity:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with a passion for building technical tools and scalable design systems. Our designers build the UI that developers around the world rely on: real-time dashboards, data visualizations, data-driven notebooks, core site functionality, and the design systems and tools that power it. Their work makes the data we collect easy for users to understand and act on.

You’ll act as a leader within the product design team, collaborating with other designers to make their work and the whole team better. You’ll not only own the success or failure of your design work, you’ll help other designers communicate their ideas and the support for their design decisions across the company.

You’ll join at an ideal time to make a big impact. We are expanding globally, designing and building multiple new products, and rolling out DesignOps to speed up and scale design. You’ll be involved in every step of the process—defining product, collaborating with PMs and engineering leads, and researching, prototyping and scaling design with new systems.

             You will:

            • Work with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed
            • See your design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog better
            • Be the expert in your product area, mentoring designers on the team to do their best work
            • Communicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the company
            • Work closely with engineering teams to understand how your designs will be built

            Requirements:

            • You have 5+ years of experience in digital product design
            • Your portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping interaction design work in web applications
            • You are an excellent visual and written communicator, able to clearly communicate your design work and the support for your design decisions
            • You have experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.g. Principle, Framer, Sketch, Figma, InVision)
            • You understand systems thinking and component-based design patterns
            • You give and receive feedback well, supporting and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your own
            • You want to work in a rapidly changing, high-growth startup environment

             Bonus points:

            • You understand cloud infrastructure and have experience with platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
            • You have worked on technical products and data visualizations

            • Above all else, you should be able to think deeply about what makes a design work—or not— and clearly articulate why to everyone involved

Diversity typically includes, but is not limited to, differences in race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, political and religious affiliation, socioeconomic background, cultural background, geographic location, disabilities and abilities, relationship status, veteran status, and age. To work on diversity means that we welcome these differences, and strive to increase the visibility of traditionally underrepresented groups. We're on the hunt for a Product Designer who can take ideas from wireframes to finished mobile and desktop app designs. As a Product Designer, you'll work alongside a UX Designer and a Product Manager, to turn user stories into lovely visual interfaces. Your main jam is interface design, but you love to make icons, branding concepts, and do some illustrations too.

Your tool du jour is Sketch, but maybe you're also playing with Figma, and you likely still lean on trusty ol' Illustrator for some vectors. You're used to sharing work in Invision, gathering feedback, and iterating over a design to really nail it. You have experience with design systems (or are curious about them), and you have a portfolio of work ready to share.

            About Input Logic

We launch beautifully crafted apps and interfaces for brands and startups. As a small team, we hand-pick our clients and prefer to work with startups, or brands who think like startups (move fast and make things). We love coffee, board games, and spending time outside on our Vancouver Island playground.

            Additional

            • Full time, on-site and/or remote, from our office in Nanaimo, BC.

To apply, email us a link to your portfolio and we will consider it lovingly.

            • Come up with new features as well as improve the existing ones, test ideas with users and run A/B tests

            • Work closely with other designers, backend team members and product managers in quick iteration cycles based on real feedback from users

            Why you will love it

            • Your work will enable millions of people to have awesome outdoor experiences

            • You’ll build and improve a product that we’re pretty sure you’ll end up using for your own outdoor trips

            • You’ll travel together with our team to amazing outdoor places several times a year to exchange ideas, learnings and go for hikes and rides

You will be successful in this position if you

            • Are highly skilled in HTML, CSS, Figma, and Sketch and have a good knowledge of JavaScript

            • Have an excellent eye for design and attention to detail: you’re obsessed with designing awesome products that users love

            • You are up-to-date with the latest web technologies, techniques, and features

            • Have experience working in a remote team, hand in hand with developers

            • Have good communication skills and enjoy working with teammates in quick iteration cycles based on real feedback from users

As a UI / UX Designer at Awesome Motive, you will be responsible for transforming ideas into beautiful “user-focused” designs that are optimized for conversion and ease of use.

To love this role, here’s the type of person you are:

            • You’re a self-starter who loves taking initiative and seeing things through to completion.

            • You’re an excellent communicator who makes sure nothing slips through the cracks.

            • You’re a creative thinker who has the eye for visually attractive design.

            • You’re comfortable working with minimal direction.

            • You’re confident in accepting critical feedback without taking it personally.

            • You have the curiosity and desire to learn and grow your skills.

            • You’re passionate about leaving your mark on the web for all to see.

            • You take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of your work rather than just doing it to get it done.

Here are some skills that will come handy:

            • Minimum 5+ years work experience.

            • Absolute proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and standard design software.

            • Excellent wireframe skills to break down big ideas into easy to use interfaces.

            • Ability to hand-code standards-compliant HTML and CSS (you won’t be coding, but you need to know this so you can communicate with developers).

            • Understanding of web design and typography trends, browser compatibility issues, and web design constraints when it comes to speed.

            • OCD in your attention to small details.

            • Talent to generate creative ideas in a highly interactive environment.

            • The ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly.

            • The ability to juggle multiple projects and timelines.

            • Excel in a team environment and be able to communicate clearly with your peers.

            • Unlimited PTO (after 90 days of employment). We encourage employees to take the time they need for vacation, to stay healthy, and to spend time with friends and family.

            • Paid maternity and paternity leave.

            • We happily provide or reimburse software you’ll need as well as books or courses that promote continued learning.

            • We give you the opportunity to solve challenging and meaningful problems that makes a difference.

            • Custom Branded laptop at your five year anniversary.

            • We cover all costs of company travel (including our annual all-company retreat and mini-team meetups).

            • Ability to work with some of the best people in the business through frequent, if not daily, interactions.
