In 2022, Cole Brauer tried out for the Ocean Race. She was told she was "too short for the Southern Ocean". On March 7, 2024, the 29-year-old became the first US woman to sail nonstop solo around the world in the Global Solo Challenge. She arrived in second place overall. When I'm feeling down, I think of Cole. If she can do it, so can I, and so can you!
